New multi-specialty hospital in Dimapur

Dimapur, January 9 (MExN): Nikos Hospital and Research Centre, a multi specialty medical establishment offering services of medical specialists, nursing and professionally trained technicians in healthcare, was inaugurated in Dimapur today. The dedication was conducted by Reverend Inaho Swu, pastor of Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church.
Introducing the hospital, the proprietor, Dr. Victo A Wotsa said that it is equipped with the most modern sophisticated medical equipments and facilities. The hospital has out patient departments for obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric, general surgery, ENT and dental. It will function as a 50 bedded hospital initially, he said. The interior of the new hospital is spacious and well ventilated. It has deluxe cabins and suites, besides male and female wards for indoor patients.
The hospital also offers 24 emergency and casualty service, 4 bedded intensive care unit (ICU) and neurological intensive care unit (NICU) services. There is a laboratory and pharmacy, and the operation theater is fitted with the latest laparoscopic HD equipment and force traid vessel sealing instruments. Other facilities include ultrasound, x-ray and the 3D imaging ultra sonography. Dr. Wotsa said that CT scan, dialysis and an ambulance service will be introduced soon.
Nikos Hospital and Research Centre has a team of doctors headed by Dr. Wotsa, obstetrician & gynecologist. Other doctors include: Dr. Ikheto Sema, general surgeon, Dr. Y.G Zhimomi, pediatrician, Dr. Sunil Sharma, gynecologist & sinologist, Dr. Nikishe, general surgeon, Dr. BK Sethi, general surgeon, dental surgeons Dr. Janet Solo, Dr. Limanaro and Dr. Abeni.  The hospital will also house a resident medical officer. Nikos Hospital and Research Centre is located at Midland colony in Dimapur.
Dr. Wotsa expressed gratitude to all those who helped him in establishing the hospital, including the financer State Bank of India, engineer Lago for designs, masons, carpenters, friends and well wishers.
