
DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN): Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Org. (NTPRADAO) was officially launched in Dimapur on May 31 with the objective ‘Nagaland For Better Living.’
The organisation was launched with the central idea of streamlining and acting as a “Connecting hub and solid bridge” for the underprivileged, downtrodden and marginalise sections of Nagaland’s society, a press release informed.
It stated that the organisation was established by hundreds of like-minded Nagaland citizens including academicians/ scholars, social workers, professionals, retired govt. officers and employees, unemployed youths (both educated & uneducated) and subject matter experts.
The organisation shall endeavour to be a mainstream voice for all the citizens of Nagaland irrespective of caste, creed, religion and sex etc. welcoming whosoever seeks the platform to raise voice against injustice whether be it private or state matters, it stated.
The organisational head office will be based in Dimapur. The NTPRADAO has thirty two state level office bearers and executive committee members, representing two each from all the 16 districts in Nagaland.
The organization will be led by Advocate M.T Naga as president, Lichanbemo Yanthan as secretary general, Thrijung Sangtam as general secretary (co-ordination & Public Liaison), Zuchamo Patton as general secretary (enquiry), Chenithung Tungoe as general secretary (administration & organisation), Phemching Konyak, Moa Ao, Ad. Toshika Sumi, Keduta Chakesang, Changsang Chang, Wiping Zeliang, Nokphak Konyak, Khetou Angami as secretaries along with 22 other executive members.
The inaugural function was attended by S. Richard, president, Nagaland Chapter - All India Anti-corruption Org. (AIACO) and Hayithung Bill Lotha, member, State DISHA (State Development Coordination & Monitoring) as special invitees.
