Dimapur, May 27 (MExN): A new 250 KVA 11/0.4 KV Transformer with "all required electrical infrastructure" was installed at Medical Colony Pungro Town on May 26. According to a press release, SDO (Elect) Pungro, N. Rumphio Lotha in the dedication programme expressed happiness that the residents could now access electricity in all colonies of Pungro Town. He further urged the gathering to extend their help in future for any needs that may arise from department especially clearance of jungle, maintenance of line and power sub-station, proper use of electricity and regular payment of bill.
Lotha also appealed the public for co-operation with the department in all necessary activities. \Meanwhile, the Public Forum Pungro Sub- Division (PFPSD) President S. Kiusumew Yimchungru, expressed gratitude the power department officials, Engg-in- Chief, Chief Engineer T&R and E.E (E) Kiphire for their initiative. The forum further urged upon the department to provide regular power supply without any interruption and assured the department for fully cooperation in any works in the days to come.
The programme was attended by PFPSD, Yimchungru Tribal Council (YTC), GBs Union Pungro Sub-Division Colonies Chairpersons and officials from Yimchungberu Arihako (YBA) Pungro Town.
