ANATG begins 2nd phase agitation

DIMAPUR, JUNE 4 (MExN): The All Nagaland Ad hoc Teacher’s Group (ANATG) 2015 Batch has started its second phase of agitation by resorting to three days mass casual leave starting June 4. A press note from the group’s president, Ruguotsolie and assistant general secretary, Tosoyul Sothu has appealed to all its members to strictly adhere to the resolution passed by the group and also to get mentally prepared for next phase of agitation if the government does not fulfill their demand at the earliest.  

NSSATA protest on June 6

DIMAPUR, JUNE 4 (MExN): The Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers' Association (NSSATA) 2010 & 2013 batch has decided to begin its 3rd phase of agitation beginning June 6 at the Directorate of School Education, Kohima in the form of sit in protest due to the failure of the government to fulfill the former’s demands. A press note from the NSSATA President, Penthungo Y Yanthan and General Secretary, Vinoka Shohe stated that even after initiating continous agitation since May 5, the government has been indifferent. It therefore directed all members to gather at the Directorate of School Education, Kohima at 8:00am on June 6. The association further urged support and cooperation from the public and NGOs.  

DRSU on membership fee

Dimapur, June 4 (MExN): The Dimapur Rengma Students' Union (DRSU) has informed that its annual membership fee drive will commence from June 5, 2018. A press release from the union has informed that respective area representatives will be executing the drive in their own designated areas. JYO condemns extortion

Kohima, June 4 (MExN): Following the apprehension of a person extorting money from trucks on National Highway-29, the Jotsoma Youth Organization (JYO) has condemned such kind of act within its jurisdiction and urged the authority concerned to award befitting punishment to the accused as per the law. The organization had apprehended the accused identified as Renpemo Tsopoe, aged about 20 years, while he was extorting money from the trucks on NH-29, stated a press release from JYO president, Khrietuo Peseyie and information & publicity secretary, Roko Nakhro. The accused was handed over to the Zubza Police station for further investigation.  

NTC meeting

Kohima, June 4 (MExN): Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) Executive and Advisors meeting will be held at NTC’s office, Kohima on June 6 at 11:00 am. Therefore, NTC general secretary, Nribemo Ngullie has requested all members to attend the meeting without fail.  

Horticulture farm school inaugurated at Kiyezhe village

Dimapur, June 4 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Kuhuboto block inaugurated horticulture farm school at Kiyezhe village on May 25 with Ngukato Chishi as the farm school teacher. Akavi Holo, Block Technology Manager, ATMA Kuhuboto block gave a brief highlight on the activities of ATMA conducted under the block. He also spoke on the role of farm teachers and their important role in the farm school. Akavi further highlighted the objectives and functions of a farm school. Ngukato Chishi, who is also a progressive farmer, spoke on his experiences and the challenges he is taking up. The event, chaired by Ameto Yeptho, ATM, ATMA Kuhuboto block, concluded by visiting the farm school.  

BJP Kisan Morcha office bearers meet

Dimapur, June 4 (MExN): The Nagaland State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha held its first office bearers meeting since the takeover by the new president, Mathew K Janger, at BJP district office in Dimapur on June 2. A press note stated that the newly elected president thanked the BJP State president for inducting him in the post. Janger further encouraged the party workers to work with faith as a family in building relation between the party and government.  AK Mishra, National Executive Member gave a report of Kisan Morcha and highlighted different programs attended by Kishan Morcha in North East and in national level. H Sunep Phom, vice president welcomed Janger and urged the party people to co-operate with him for smooth functioning of the Morcha.  

Career orientation

Dimapur, June 4 (MExN): Leo Club of Dimapur will be organizing a career orientation programme, 'Udaan', on June 7, 9:30 am at Latika complex, Nyamo Lotha road, Dimapur.
