DC Kohima informs on LED bulbs Kohima, January 19 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Rajesh Soudararajan, IAS has informed the Chairmen of Village Councils, Wards, Colonies that in connection with the initiatives of Energy Efficient Nagaland under the centrally Sponsored UJALA Scheme; the District Administration Kohima in consultation with EESL JV has revised and lowered the rate of LED bulbs (9 watts) from Rs 70 to Rs 65/- per bulb of which Rs 2/- will be marked as transport incentives or cost for the respective village, Ward, Colony. Animal Welfare Fortnight prog in Zunheboto Zunheboto, January 19 (MExN): The office of the Chief Vety & AH Officer Zunheboto along with the districts of the state and of the country will be celebrating Animal Welfare Fortnight programme in the district. During this period, a series of activities would initiate and be conducted on issues related to prevention of cruelty to animals, care and management, health care, care during transportation, protection of wild animals & their habitats etc. The department will be organizing free vaccination camps till January 30 for dogs and livestock, distribution of dewormer for pigs, vitamins and mineral mixtures for livestock, delivering talks on animal welfare in selected schools and colleges, help initiate formation of animal lovers, kindness groups, clubs, visiting slaughter houses for creating awareness on humane slaughter of animals.
