
DC Mon informs arms license holders Mon, February 25 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner of Mon has reminded all the arms license holders under Mon district to submit their arms license for generating Unique Identification Number (UIN) under ongoing National Database of Arms License (NDAL) on or before March 31, 2017. As per the directive of Ministry of Home Affairs, with effect from April 1, 2017, any arms license without Unique Identification Number shall be considered invalid. The DC further directed the Administrative Officers to disseminate the information to all the arms license holders under their respective jurisdiction. GBs informed to submit Annual House Tax Kohima, February 25 (DIPR): The SDO (Sadar), Kohima, Kethosituo Sekhose has informed all Gaon Buras under Kohima Sadar Administrative Sub-division (KMC areas/ Kohima Village/ Chedema Village/ Chedema Model Village) to submit the Annual House Tax for the year 2016-2017 to either SDO (Sadar) or EAC (Sadar), Kohima on or before March 10, 2017. The House Tax has to be collected by the GBs concerned and submitted for the whole Village/Ward through the Village Council Chairman/ Ward Chairman. The SDO stated that failure to submit the House Tax within the stipulated time will entail forfeiture of the House Tax Commission and Red Blankets to the erring GBs. NSSATA Wokha unit informs Wokha, February 25 (MExN): As per the directive received from the Committee for Graduate Teacher Seniority List, Central NSSATA, all the SSA Graduate Teachers 2010 & 2013 batches of Wokha have been requested to submit a photocopy of the following documents - HSLC Admit card, Marksheets of all educational qualification and professional degree, and two copies of appointment order - to the Wokha unit in-charge at My Choice (mobile store) located opposite Hornbill Hotel, Wokha starting from February 27 till March 3 between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. LUPBA condemns Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): The Lotha Union Purana Bazar Area (LUPBA) has expressed shock at the incident, where some miscreant(s) fired gun shot at the residence of its former Chairman, Zaremo Kikon at Darogapathar around 11:30 pm on February 20. A press statement from the union’s Secretary, Stephen Tsenthungo stated that the issue is of serious matter “which amounts to an attempt to murder.” Hence, it said, “unless the law enforcing agency arrest the culprit(s) and unearth the whole matter, the incident would create fear psychosis and would continue to haunt the affected family members.” The union while condemning the incident also requested the authority concerned to act on it with all seriousness so that such incident does not occur again. BYFD consultative meeting Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): There will be a joint consultative meeting with all the Youth Directors/Presidents of the various churches under Baptist Youth Fellowship Dimapur (BYFD) on February 27, 2:00 pm at Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA).
