
PMAY – GRAMIN to be launched today Kohima, February 28 (MExN): The Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY) - GRAMIN will be launched on March 1, 11:00 am at Rural Development directorate’s conference hall in Kohima with C.L. John, Minister for RD & REPA as the chief guest. AR apprehend one with arms Dimapur, February 28 (MExN): Troops of 41 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) apprehended one person along with one .22 mm pistol and four live rounds of assorted ammunitions during an operation conducted at DC Court, Hill View, Dimapur on February 26. The operation was launched along with police representative, according to a press release from Assam Rifles. The apprehended individual identified as David Sangtam (36), the AR alleged, has been involved in extortion from shopkeepers using identity card and weapons. He was also apprehended earlier for arms dealing in September 2016, it added. The apprehended person along with the recovered arms and ammunition was handed over to Diphupar Police Station for further investigation. NSLA office relocated Kohima, February 28 (MExN): The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) has informed in a press release that its office was recently relocated to the basement of the Kohima District Court building near Deputy Commissioner’s office complex, Kohima. NSLSA also informed that it will conduct district wise Para Legal Volunteers’ orientation training covering all the 11 districts. Meanwhile, the Authority is mobilizing Master Trainers (TOT) and Legal Aid Counsels to undertake the orientation training along with the respective secretaries of District Legal Services Authority in the month of March.
