KCSU search committee formed Kohima, March 1 (MExN): The Kohima Chakhesang Students' Union (KCSU) held a meeting on February 28 and set up the search committee to elect the new executives for the tenure 2017 - 2019. The committee members are Wekhrope Marhu Convernor, Veshekhoyi Chizo Member Secretary, Sekhotso Rhakho Member and Hukhoto D. Vadeo as ex-officio. Therefore, the interested candidates may kindly contact the committee @ 8794316677/9612713250/8119889060/9089261178.     KGPO reaffirms resolution on taxation Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): The Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organisation (KGPO), Kuhuboto Ghakhu Kukami Kuqhakulu have re-affirmed the earlier Kuhuboto Baghi Hoho resolution no. 3 dated August 4, 2015, wherein an appeal was made to stop all sorts of illegal taxation carried out by all Naga Political Groups (NPGS) under Kuhuboto jurisdiction. This decision was made during the emergency meeting of the organization along with their executive council held on February 28 at KGPO Hall. In this regard, the KGPO in a press release issued by its President, Ghoshito Shohe and General Secretary, Z. Ato appealed to all NPGs not to collect any sort of taxation on the roads of Kuhuboto jurisdiction, but to approach village council chairmen or Head GBs concerned for any form of normal taxation.     NSSATA Phek Unit demand to release pending salaries Phek, March 1 (MExN): The NSSATA Phek Unit has demanded for the release of the pending salaries and arrears as per the written assurance “NSSATA/ULT/01/06 given by the government on 02/11/16.” NSSATA, PHEK unit President Sheta Hesu and General Secretary Weriteu Mero in a press release said that the SSA teachers are compelled to ask the competency of the State government for the failures that has brought untold miseries to the teachers for the past years since the appointment in 2013. “Yet we are still attending our duties at school in spite of the hardship faced but if the concern authority continues to threaten our rights and security, we will be left with no other choice but resort back to our own course of action,” the Unit added.     Online registration in KV Lumani Lumami, March 1 (MExN): Online registration is currently open for Class-1 in Kendriya Vidyalaya Lumami NU. The last date for registration for Class-1 is March 10 (till 4:00 PM). Those unable to access the internet may fill the registration form available in the Administration Section, Nagaland University, HQ Lumami. Online Registration for Class-II to V will open from April 5 to 18. The links for the online registration are: www.darpan.kvs.gov.in & www.admission.kvs.gov.in. The admission to the KV will be as per the priorities/rules prescribed by the KVS from time to time for the KVs under IHL Sector.     SD Jain Samaj offers condolence Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): SD Jain Samaj has condoled the sudden demise of Dr. Ashit Baran Choudhury, who passed away after a cardiac arrest on February 23 evening. “His soft spoken nature befriended each and everyone. He could speak almost all the dialects of Nagaland,” Om Prakash Sethi, President, SD Jain Samaj remembered in a condolence message. The Samaj prayed for his soul to rest in peace and also to give strength to the family to bear the sudden loss.     Srimad Bhagwat Gyan Yagya and Yoga Shivir in Dimapur Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): Srimad Bhagwat Gyan Yagya and Yoga Shivir will be held at Maa Laxmi Mandir at Naharbari in Dimapur near Padumpukhuri pond from March 3 to 10. A press release from president of Naharani Hindu Kachari Samaj informed that the Gyan Yagya will be conducted by ‘Shraddheya Pt. Sri Lekhram Rimal Shastriji Maharaj’ from Vrindavan and Yoga Shivir by Narayan Yogiji Maharaj, yoga expert. ‘Kalas Yatra’ will begin at 8:00 am on March 3, while daily ‘Kirtan’ will be held from 6: 00 pm to 8:00 pm. Other programmes will be held from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm daily.
