Aadhaar Cell at DC office, Dimapur Dimapur, March 23 (MExN): Aadhaar Cell has been activated at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Dimapur for the Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland. Releasing this information to the citizens of Dimapur district, Deputy Commissioner Kesonyu Yhome informed that those who want to enroll can download forms from www.nagaland.gov.in or www.uidai.gov.in/resources/download and submit to the Aadhaar Cell with the following documents: proof of identity, proof of address, date of birth, and proof of residency. Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate will be mandatory for all the applicants (both original and photocopy). For children below the age of 5 years, Aadhaar card of one parent will be mandatory, the DC added. Applicants can submit their forms from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm during office hours.     NSCN (IM) clarifies Kohima, March 23 (MExN): NSCN (IM) today clarified that Neiba Kire, who was apprehended with arms and ammunition by Assam Rifles recently in Kohima, is no more a member of the NSCN (IM). “Kire was terminated from active national service on September 5, 2016 on account of his irresponsible actions and activities, which are detrimental to the principles of the organization,” stated MIP, NSCN (IM) in a clarification. “Hence, the NSCN/GPRN disowns the publication of press statement of PRO IGAR (N) alleging him as member of the NSCN,” it added. Kire was formerly Kilonser of Ministry of War Victim’s Welfare, NSCN (IM), according to the clarification.     NLSF condemns rape of minor Kohima, March 23 (MExN): The Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) has condemned the alleged rape of an 8-year-old girl child on March 14. “The ghastly act perpetrated has no place in our Naga culture and should be exemplary be punished,” asserted NLSF in a statement. It further stated that the accused should be punished according to the gravity of the crime. “The NLSF firmly believe that the judiciary strong arm would punish the accused according to the law of the land. The NLSF stand by the victim and shall assist in its capacity that justice be delivered accordingly,” it added.     Jalukie Pumling Nko meeting postponed Jalukie, March 23 (MExN): The Jalukie Pumling Nko (JPN) meeting which was scheduled for March 25 has been postponed owing to the indefinite bandh called by the Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland (JSUN) on the direction of the Old Jalukie Village Council beginning March 24. JPN in a press release issued by its Chairman Irai Hingleu has directed all the frontal organizations to co-operate with the bandh “until the genuine demand was fulfilled.” The bandh, it said, “was compelled and necessitated for not honouring the MoU between the Old Jalukie Village Council and the Government of Nagaland concerning establishment of Jalukie town and appointment of grade IV staffs by the Education department.”     State Library informs cable line owners Kohima, March 23 (MExN): All cable line owners whose pipelines pass through State Library, Kohima have been informed that the pipelines should be removed from the compound on or before April 5, 2017. “This is to facilitate preparatory works for upcoming construction,” stated a press release from Librarian, State Library, Kohima.     Treasuries & Accounts dept informs Kohima, March 23 (DIPR): The Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts in a circular has informed that as per Rule 2 of the CSS (Leave) Rules 1972, contract/casual/work-charged (except when the contract provides otherwise) employees are not entitled/admissible any kind of leave.
