
All meat shops should be modernized: DMC DIMAPUR, APRIL 12 (MEXN): As per notification/letters and Supreme Court directives related to enforcement of slaughter house rules and prevention of cruelty to animals (Slaughter House Acts), Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has notified that all animals to be slaughtered for human consumption shall be slaughtered only from the authorized modern slaughter house established by DMC at old Khatkhati road, Burma Camp, Dimapur. In a notification, DMC Administrator H Atokhe Aye further stated that all meat shops should avail trade license by following strict guidelines of DMC. All the meat shops, it added, should be upgraded/ modernized to provide safe, healthy and hygienic meat to the consumers. The order will come into effect within 45 days from the date of issue of the notification, it was informed. “Failing to comply will invite heavy penalty and imprisonment as per the provision of the Act,” the notification said. NPGN/NNC (NA) mourns Dimapur, April 12 (MExN): The collective leadership and all rank and file of NPGN/NNC (NA) have mourned the demise of Deputy Kilonser James on April 1. James was one of the senior national workers “who had sacrificed his entire life for the common cause of Naga National Regime,” stated a condolence message from MIP, NPGN/NNC (NA). “He was a polite man with immense wisdom, blessing and God fearing humble person. He had tried his level best to unite the entire NNPGs under common platform so as to achieve the common aspiration of the Nagas.” Acknowledging that his sudden demise has created a vacuum for the NPGN/NNC (NA) and the entire Nagas, the note added, as a national worker his main objective was to uplift the entire Nagas in all round development. It further shared pain and sorrow with the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace. Bike found abandoned in Wokha Wokha, April 12 (MExN): International Human Rights Association (IHRA) Nagaland's Vigilance Cell through its State PRO has informed that an unregistered suspicious bike, Bajaj Discover black colour (DTSI), with chassis number 2DSPAZZTWE29987 and engine number 108138BI0JZ231201 was found abandoned at Wokha about 300 metres away from Zero Point for the past few days and has been reported at the police station. The rightful owner has been asked to claim the bike with valid and legit documents from Wokha Police Station. Marketing shed at Teichuma inaugurated Kohima, April 12 (MExN): A marketing shed constructed under RKVY 2016-17 by the Department of Agriculture was inaugurated by Vizonyu Liezie, District Agriculture Officer, Kohima on April 6 at Teichuma village under Chiebhobozou Block. It was constructed on the roadside at Army General Staff Road & New Teichuma village junction. Liezie, in his address, stated that the marketing shed in the area will help the local farmers immensely to sell their produces in any season. On behalf of the villagers, the village council chairman, Teichuma thanked the department for constructing such shed and expressed hope that it will help the farmers to improve their economy by selling agricultural produces. WTABC prays to keep vehicles from accident Wokha, April 12 (MExN): The Wokha Town Ao Baptist Church (WTABC) on April 11 organized a special dedicatory prayer meeting for vehicles of Aos in Wokha Town to thank God for his blessings and to seek his protection to keep all the vehicles from harm and accident.
