Excise seize liquor Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): Acting on a tip off from citizen of the locality, Excise (Mobile Squad) special surveillance team raided a godown at Supermarket area, Dimapur around 3:00 pm on June 10, according to a press release from Superintendent of Excise (MS), Katoho Sumi. The Excise team seized 2272 bottles of assorted IMFL and beer from the godown. In this connection, one accused identified as Seiko was arrested and booked under relevant section of NLTP Act ‘89. The seized liquor have been deposited in Mobile Squad Malkhana, Dimapur.   Ganja seized; one arrested Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): The Narcotic Cell of the Excise Department seized 270 kg of ganja and 7,920 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon from a store house at Railway Colony, Dimapur on June 9 around 8:00 pm. The store house is suspected to be one of the main transit points for traffickers of contraband ganja, according to a press release from Superintendent of Excise (NC), Dimapur, S Phyobemo Kikon. One accused identified as Ranjit Rai (27) was arrested and booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act 1985 and forwarded to judiciary, the release added.   PAC cancels spot verification Kohima, June 10 (MExN): The Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Nagaland Legislative Assembly has cancelled the spot verification of various projects/works carried out by Home Department (PEP) for the 11th, 12th, 13th & 14th NAP (IR) Battalions “due to unavoidable circumstances”. The verification was scheduled to take place from June 12–15. This was informed in a press release issued by N. Benjamin Newmai, Commissioner & Secretary, NLA.   Zunheboto pensioners informed Zunheboto, June 10 (DIPR): Treasury Officer (TO), Zunheboto, Aboto H. Zhimomi has informed all pensioners and officials concerned that the physical verification of the pensioners will take place from June 15-30. Therefore, all pensioners drawing their pension from Zunheboto Treasury have been asked to be present at the time of verification without fail.   28 AR interact with GBs Wokha, June 10 (MExN): 28 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) carried out an interaction with the village GBs of Doyang Region at Bhandari on June 10. A total of 23 GBs of neighbouring villages of Doyang region participated in the interaction, where a number of important issues pertaining to development, education and skill development were discussed, informed a press release from Assam Rifles.     NGOs working in CBR meet Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): The 17th Annual Regional Partners Meeting of North East Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programme was organized by CBR Forum Bengaluru at Social Forum, Guwahati from June 6 to 7. The following NGOs from Nagaland working in CBR participated in the meeting – Care and Support Society, Mokokchung; Cherry Blossom, Kohima; Grace Society, Mokokchung; Prodigals’ Home, Dimapur.   Fete Day in Phek Phek, June 10 (MExN): The Bethany 2 Youth Organization, Phek organized Fete Day cum Sales Day on June 7 at the church junction in Phek Town for raising fund. Chineyi Lohe, Chairman, Bethany 2 colony, Phek Town inaugurated the programme, which was chaired by Vechihu Khamo, President, Bethany 2 Youth Organization.
