Poster making contest held Medziphema, July 10 (MExN): 41 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (N) organised poster making competition on ‘HIV/ AIDS’ awareness at Assam Rifles Public School, Medziphema on July 10. The aim of the event was to spread awareness on HIV/ AIDS and to identify and promote the students' skills, according to a release from HQ IGAR (N). Students of various age groups participated in the competition, where Kiran Shankar of class 10 won the prize for Best Poster. Pughoboto celebrates Tuluni Pughoboto, July 10 (DIPR): Denizens of Pughoboto Town along with ADC Avelu Ruho, SDO (C) Chonbenthung Ezung and other officers celebrated Tuluni festival on July 8 at local ground here. Exhorting the gathering, Ruho pointed out the need to protect and preserve the cultures and traditions for the younger generation. Maintaining that the Naga forefathers were hardworking and generous, she called on the young people to inculcate those values. Significance of the festival was narrated by Benito Wotsa and a poem about the festival was presented by Toli H. Chairman, PATC, Viyikhu A Swu also exhorted the gathering. The celebration included cultural display by various troupes. In commemoration of the event, the 1st Tuluni Inter-Ward Sports Meet which had volleyball and other traditional games was held for both men and women. Hebuloto colony and Medical colony emerged as the overall champion and runners up respectively.
