Road show for ‘Open Dance Explosion Competition-3’   Wokha, July 24 (MExN): ‘Open Dance Explosion Competition-3’, organized by the Wokha Circle Students’ Union (WCSU) in collaboration with Wokha District Auto Union (WDAU) and scheduled to be held on July 29, has decided to hold Road Show on July 25 in Wokha Town at the following points – Police Point, NST, MTC, PWD, and GHSS premise from 10:00 am onwards. The Event Media Convenor, Thunglamo Odyuo in a press communiqué has asked all participants to be present in the road show with their item song latest by 9:00 am. According to the release, the competition is being organized with an aim to promote and provide a platform for the young upcoming talented dancers of the district and the State.   NPF Dimapur reaffirms support to Shürhozelie   Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): The NPF Dimapur division has reaffirmed their support to the leadership of Dr. Shürhozelie as the president of NPF. This was done at an emergency meeting of NPF Central in-charge, Dimapur division, NPF Dimapur division office bearers, and frontals (women wing, youth wing, farmers wing and minority wing) held on July 24 at the division’s office at Landmark here. The meeting also supported and endorsed the decision of the NPF Central office to sever ties with BJP, stated a press release from Itokhu Chophi, General Secretary (Admin), NPF Dimapur division. Meanwhile, the division at the meeting resolved to appeal to the Dimapur district legislators to “come to the mainstream as the door of the party is always open for the larger interest of the Nagas in general and party in particular.”     KMH executive session held   Noklak, July 24 (DIPR): The Khiamniungan Meniu Hoikam (KMH) had an executive session at KTC Hall, Noklak on July 19. Uplift of women folk, role of women in community development, and bringing peace among the communities were the topics discussed in the session by resource persons. Women from villages and towns and various organizations including KTC, KSU, KGOA and government officials attended the executive session. A new team of office bearers led by Neukai Penglang as the president was also elected for a tenure of three years.     NSCN (IM) mourns   Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has deeply mourned the sudden demise of Lance Corporal Kaivuk Khaivukyah, army number 44535/17, of Rokho village, Pangmi region in the Eastern Nagalim. The tragedy occurred in the line of duty on July 20, 2017, informed a press release from MIP, NSCN (IM). He was attached to the General Field Training Head Quarters (GFTHQ) of the Naga Army. The NSCN (IM) paid homage to the departed soul and offered condolence and sympathy to the bereaved family members and relatives.     NNC/FGN joint meeting   Kohima, July 24 (MExN): A joint meeting of the Naga National Council (NNC) and Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) will be held on July 31, 10:00 am at Transit Peace Camp (TPC), Kohima. Therefore, all the Central authorities, Regional authorities, high ranking Naga Army officers, Naga Women Federation (NWF) and Naga Youth Federation (NYF) of the NNC/FGN have been requested to positively attend the meeting.
