Election for GSU, GSKS, GYA in August   Kohima, July 26 (MExN): This is to inform the members of the following Gorkha NGOs of Kohima viz., Gorkha Students’ Union, Gorkha Sahitya Kala Sanstha, and Gorkha Youth Association that election of office bearer of the respective organizations for the next tenure is scheduled for August 2017. Members of the organizations interested in shouldering the responsibilities of holding various post(s) have been asked to collect the nomination forms from Impression, Shop No. B-68 at Fancy Market, Kohima or Community Pharmacy, Upper Chandmari, Kohima. Forms must be submitted on or before 4:00 pm of August 5.     Orgs contribute for Dimapur flood relief   Dimapur, July 26 (MExN): Various organizations have come forward and contributed through the Emergency Operation Center (EOC), DC Office Dimapur as Flood Relief, a press release from the DIPR informed. The following is the list of items (cash and kind) received: Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo – Rs. 50,000; Naga Council Dimapur – Rs.10,000; Trailblazer Society Dimapur – 5 bags rice, 60 boxes mineral water, 2 bags dal, 1 bag salt, 2 boxes Mustard oil. The Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome, on behalf of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) expressed gratitude and appreciation to the various NGOs/organisations for their contributions. Registered Rural Libraries in Phek informed Phek, July 26 (MExN): District Cultural Officer, Phek has informed all the registered Rural Libraries under Phek district that the district officials are going to inspect all the libraries under its jurisdiction. Respective Librarian or the In-Charge of each Rural Library has been asked to prepare all the records that may need to be furnished. The officer in a press release also directed all the registered Rural Libraries to put up their signboard in their respective office. Meanwhile, all the Librarians or the In-Charge have been asked to contact the following officers at the earliest: T. Therie, District Cultural Officer (9612057184/ 9077360548); Zhosa Sapu, Asst. RO (9612475915); Chilovi Nyusou, ARO (9612430284).     Pfutsero ADC holds meeting   Pfutsero, July 26 (DIPR): Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pfutsero held a meeting with all the head of offices, institutions, ward chairmen, Head GBs, NGOs under Pfutsero Town on July 26 at the ADC Office Conference Hall to chalk out the programme for the forthcoming Independence Day celebration. During the meeting, work distributions were allotted to various departments and institutions. ADC also informed that there will be a mass social work on August 12 from 8:00 am onwards and therefore urged upon all the citizens to participate positively and make it a successful one. She also requested all the ward chairmen and Head GBs to inform the residents of their wards to remove all the construction materials lying beside the roads before August 12.
