DC Dimapur informs on Parade Rehearsal Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome has informed all the parade contingents under Dimapur District that the Parade Rehearsal for the ensuing Independence Day celebration 2017 will commence from August 8 from 7:00 am onwards daily at the DDSC Stadium. CFSB cancels ID cards of 5 NSCN (R) functionaries Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): The Office of the Chairman of the Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFSB) has issued orders for cancellation of ID cards of 5 NSCN (R) functionaries “as desired” by the group’s CFSB Supervisor, Imlongnukshi Chang. The names of the five are: Adoun Rongmei, Wangkep, Yangle, Shotan Khiamniungan, and Akholie Angami. ACYA Sales Day on August 8 Kohima, August 5 (MExN): The Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) is organizing a Sales Day on August 8 at Khouchiezie (Local Ground), Kohima, in aid of ACYA Convention 2018. The Department of Information & Technology, Government of Nagaland, has informed its participation in the Sales Day to popularize use of ATM Swipe Machines at Point of Sale (POS) for traders, retailers, vendors, etc. and also to popularize cashless transaction which is in keeping with the Centre’s policy. Various exotic items including fresh local organic vegetables, fruits, flowers, handicrafts, traditional attires and gears will be on sale. Special attractions will include preserved rice (25 years), traditional musical instruments, wild vegetables, bamboo shoot, Naga king chilly, sticky rice, muodi, crab and snails etc. There will also be restaurant offering Naga dishes like galho, pork intestine curry, tea & snacks, sticky rice roti etc. Book Now Pay Later scheme Kohima, August 5 (DIPR): The Department of Post has informed about a scheme called Book Now Pay Later (BNPL) for booking of Speed Post articles on credit, which can be remitted in the following month on receipt of bills. This BNPL scheme can be availed by any Postal Service User who provides an average business of Rs. 5000/- per month. On receipt of application/ willingness to avail this service, a licensee code will be provided if criteria under the scheme are fulfilled. The advantage of BNPL is that it prevents leakage of revenue as well as better management of mails. MDTFUI committee constituted Mokokchung, August 5 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel has informed that in pursuance of the Government notification, District Task Force for Urban Immunization (DTFUI) committee has been constituted. The committee comprises of Chairman- Deputy Commissioner, Member Secretary- Chief Medical Officer, Members- ADC & Administrator MMC, District Programme Officer (RCH & UIP), District Co-ordinator/Nodal Officer NUHM, Medical Superintendent IMDH, Project Director DRDA, District Education Officer, District Project Officer ICDS, District Public Relations Officer. Nsong villages contribute for road repair Peren, August 5 (MExN): The five Nsong villages under Nsong circle bordering Assam, Manipur and Nagaland contributed Rs. 10,000 from council fund to repair the PWD road from Nsong town to Liekie border and Ngaulong in the Assam-Nagaland border respectively. The lack of road maintenance had cut off the lifeline to Nsong area and the people of the area are facing untold hardships and difficulties, a press release informed. Meanwhile, the Nsong area public leaders, frontal organisations and political party leaders also expressed heartfelt gratitude to MLA Namri Nchang for contributing Rs. 1,00,000 for maintenance of PWD road.
