State Level Kala Utsav competitions today

Kohima, October 16 (MExN): RMSA Nagaland will be conducting the 3rd State Level Kala Utsav competitions on the theme ‘Living Traditions of Arts on Music, Visual Arts, Dance and Theatre’ on October 17, 10:30 am at Dr. Neilhouzhu Kire GHSS, Seikhazou, Kohima. Neposo Theluo, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Department of School Education will grace the programme as chief guest. This was informed in a press release issued by Timothy Thong, DMD & Programme Coordinator, Kala Utsav.  

In-service Elementary Teachers asked to attend workshop

Kohima, October 16 (MExN): The Principal Director of School Education, Smita Sarangi has informed all In-service Elementary Teachers (Class I-VIII) to attend a one day workshop/ orientation on Learning Outcome at their respective EBRCs on October 21 from 9:00 am without fail. Absentees will be seriously viewed, stated a notification from the Principal Director. For any query, contact the respective EBRC Coordinators/ Principals, DIETs.  

Essay contest at NIT Nagaland

Dimapur, October 16 (MExN): An essay competition will be conducted at NIT Nagaland campus, Chumukedima on the topic ‘Cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh’ on October 26 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The competition is organized under ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB)’ programme initiated by Govt. of India. Cash prizes along with certificates will be given to the winners. Students from various educational institutions of Nagaland have been invited to participate in the competition.  

NSCN (R) ‘force discharge’ one

Dimapur, October 16 (MExN): The NSCN (Reformation) has “force discharged” one of its cadres identified as Lieut. Akholi of Angami region from the active national service with immediate effect. A press release from MIP, NSCN (R) stated that Akholi has been “forced discharged owing to prolonged leave report without the consent of the higher authority.” The release further informed the general public not to entertain him in any way relating to the matter of the government.  

NSCN (IM) UT-I recover bike, wallet

Dimapur, October 16 (MExN): The Union Territory-I of NSCN (IM) has found two wheelers – Yamaha (black with red and white stripe), engine number 5TSK018015, and chassis number ME15TSOK6E2018022. On another occasion, UT-I of NSCN (IM) found a pocket wallet of Yipfuchu Thurr. His PAN card, ATM card, Aadhaar card and Forest Guard ID card etc were also found, stated a press release from Secretary, UT-I. The rightful owners have been asked to contact UT-I Secretary at 8014620571 within 7 days to claim their property. No claims will be entertained after seven days, the release cautioned.  

Parliamentary Quiz and Youth Parliament competition

Kohima, October 16 (MExN): State Level Parliamentary Quiz and Youth Parliament competition will be held on October 20, 10:00 am at ATI Imagine Hall, Kohima on the theme ‘Youth in Strengthening Democracy’. The chief guest for the event will be Minister for School Education & Parliamentary Affairs, Tokheho Yepthomi.  

PK Frames inaugurated

Dimapur, October 16 (MExN): PK Frames, which deals with photo and certificate frames, was dedicated by Phushito Chishi, Pastor, Lhomithi Baptist Akukuhou on October 16 in Dimapur. Owned by Hokuto K Yepthomi, the shop is located at Marcofed building adjacent to Night Bazaar, Lhomithi Village, informed a press release.
