Schools in Dimapur district informed
Dimapur, October 18 (MExN): Office of the District Education Officer (DEO), Dimapur has informed all the schools (both government and private) from Primary to Higher Secondary level under Dimapur district to apply for Swachh Vidyalaya Puruskar 2017-18 through online http/mhrd.gov.in-swachhvidyalaya-swachhvidyalayapuruskar 2017-18 or mobile app, Swachhvidyalayaparuskar 2017-18, which can be downloaded from Google play store or Apple istore. The registration of schools will be done with the U-DISE code of the school on or before October 31, 2017, stated a press release from DDEO Dimapur. This directive has been issued as per the letter NO. SSA/NAGA/SWACHH-P/2017-18 Dated, Kohima the 11th Oct’ 2017 received from State Mission Director, SSA.
Bridge course for teachers with B.Ed teaching classes I–V
Kohima, October 18 (MExN): Principal Director of School Education, Smita Sarangi (IAS) has informed all the in-service teachers with B.Ed (both government and private teachers) teaching in classes I–V that Certificate in Professional Development Programme for Elementary Teachers (PDPET), a six months course under NIOS, is open for registration at the NIOS portal (http://dledbr.nios.ac.in/) from October 15 to November 30, 2017. In this regard, all the teachers concerned have been asked to register and obtain the requisite qualification.
KCCI social work
Kohima, October 18 (MExN): Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has informed all the traders/business community in Kohima that KCCI will conduct a mass social work on October 20 from 8:00 am till 10:00 am. Therefore, all the traders/businesses have been directed to compulsorily clean their respective business premises/buildings, shutters and the surrounding areas without fail.
District level science exhibition held in Zunheboto
Zunheboto, October 18 (MExN): The District Project Office, RMSA Zunheboto conducted a district level science exhibition at GHSS Zunheboto on October 17 on the topic ‘Non conventional source of energy for substitution of non renewable energy’. Four government schools competed in the exhibition, which was judged by Moa, PGT (Physics), GHSS Zunheboto and Pfuchepeu Mero, PGT (Botany), GHSS Zunheboto. GHSS Aghunato bagged the first prize and GHS Apikito won the second prize, informed a press release. The keynote address was delivered by Emilo Patton, Deputy District Education Officer, while the programme was chaired by Hekuto Sumi, District Coordinator, RMSA Zunheboto.
Village Guard barrack at Noklak inaugurated
Noklak, October 18 (DIPR): The newly constructed Village Guard barrack at Noklak HQ was inaugurated by Parliamentary Secretary, Land Revenue, Women Resources Development &Village Guard, L. Khumo on October 17. Khumo appreciated the role played by the VGs over the years, including broadening of role in responsibilities, duties, disciplines, maintaining law and order and crime prevention etc. He also assured to award the VG jawans particularly in arresting drug smugglers and other “antisocial activities”. He further advised the jawans to prepare Aadhaar card for further official uses. The programme was chaired by Jamadar Pongdang. Welcome address was given by Subedar H. Pengthang and short speeches were delivered by N. Imsusangba, Commandant VG and ADC Noklak, Thsuvisie Phoji.
CTS Sales Day in Tuensang
Tuensang, October 18 (MExN): To raise fund for various women welfare programmes, Changsao Thengjam Setshang (CTS) organized a Sales Day on October 12 at Clock Tower, Tuensang. Launched with an invocation prayer by Nasenkundang, Assistant Pastor, Yungkup Baptist Church, women from 27 villages participated in the event with locally grown vegetables, grains and pulses, wild leaves and vegetables, indigenous handicrafts and knitted products. In a press release, CTS president, Naongchumten extended gratitude to DC Tuensang for permission to organise the Sales Day at Clock Tower and OC Police for maintaining smooth traffic flow during the event.
