SFS to organize annual mass social work

Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): In preparation for the observance of All Souls' Day, the St.Francis de Sales (SFS) Parish, Kohima Town will have an annual mass social work on October 28 at the common graveyard near BSF Camp, Kohima. All Souls' Day is observed annually across the world on November 2 commemorating the faithful who have died and praying for the souls of the departed, a SFS press release informed. Everyone is openly invited and welcome to share and join in the charitable undertaking, it said adding that transportation will be provided at 9:00AM at Keziekie bus stand on Saturday to proceed to the cemetery.  

Addl. Director, A.H Veterinary Services inform

Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): All the Veterinary Hospital, Dispensary Officers and Staff in-charge under the Department of A.H and Veterinary Services are informed to immediately collect vaccines from the Directorate of A.H and Veterinary Services during the working hour. The vaccines available are: FMD Vaccine, SFV, HS & PQV, ETV, ARV, RDF1, R2BV, FBXV, PPRV & Brucellosis Vaccine. Dr. Viral Yore, Addl. Director, A.H Veterinary Services, in a press note informed the aforesaid entities to utilise the vaccines at the earliest to prevent outbreak of diseases.  

DHS Zunheboto organizes essay contest

Zunheboto, October 26 (MExN): District Health Society (DHS), Zunheboto organised an essay competition on ‘Importance of iodine in our daily life’ at GHSS, Satakha on October 24. Among the 20 students who participated in the competition, Atto (Class VIII) received the first prize, Noghipu (Class VIII) came second, and Vina (Class IX) stood third. The winners were awarded with cash prize and certificates, while all the participants were given certificates, informed Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, CMO office, Zunheboto in a press release. Earlier, Dr. Hoito Sema, DCMO spoke on the importance of iodine in day today life and Viketol, DCM did a demonstration on testing iodine in salt.
