DEO Dimapur informs

Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): District Education Officer’s office, Dimapur has informed all the new schools/schools yet to be covered under UDISE & SDMIS under Dimapur district to submit the school details report on or before November 3, 2017 to the DEO office, Dimapur (Room No. 3). This notification has been issued in reference to the letter No. SSA/NAGA/EMIS/UDISE_SDMIS/2017-18 Dated Kohima 1st November 2017.  

Excise personnel seize drugs

Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): The Narcotic Cell of the Excise Department seized 1000 tablets of Methamphetamine worth about Rs. 60,000/- on October 31 at Dhobinullah area in Dimapur. In this regard, one Merry (Kapisa) aged about 38 years was arrested and booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act 1985, stated a press release from Kevisetuo Angami, Deputy Commissioner of Excise (NC), Dimapur. Methamphetamine is a psychotropic drug – a powerful and addictive stimulant originating mostly from SE Asia, the release added. It is also known by various street names such as YABA, WY, R-7, party drug, etc. The Excise team consisted of AIEs Tiameren & Nokcha Ao, constables Tokaho & Merila.  

Higher Education informs on scholarship

Kohima, November 1 (MExN): The Director of Higher Education has informed that the online applications of all scholarships that are being implemented by Department of Higher Education, i.e., Post Matric Scholarship for ST students of Nagaland, State Merit Scholarship, and NEC- stipend and book grant, has been extended up to November 13, 2017.  

NPF Phek division condoles

Phek, November 1 (MExN): The NPF Phek division has expressed sadness over the demise of its treasurer, Pusalhü Tetseo, on October 29 at Chetheba. He was 72 and leaves behind his wife and children. A condolence message from the division stated that Tetseo was a very dedicated and committed regional party worker who served as president, NPF 18th Chozuba A/C for three tenures and held various posts in public domains. “He was widely known for his humility, patience, and loyalty in serving the public till his last breath,” it added. While expressing homage to the deceased, the NPF division conveyed condolences to the bereaved wife and family members and prayed that God will bless them through his noble deeds in days to come.  

Cleanliness drive held in Chukitong

Wokha, November 1 (MExN): The Primary Health Centre (PHC), Chukitong under Wokha district organized cleanliness drive in collaboration with Chukitong Town Students' Union (CTSU) on October 28. The volunteers worked along the approach road from NH-2 (erstwhile NH-61) till the PHC, clearing weeds and filling potholes, informed a press release from CTSU general secretary, Zaremo M. Ngullie. The volunteers also cleaned the compound and surrounding of the health centre. Around 32 PHC staffs and around 75 student volunteers participated in the cleanliness drive.  

Elite Music Ensemble, Phek organizes students’ recital season-2

Phek, November 1 (DIPR): Elite Music Ensemble, Phek held its Students’ Recital season-2 on October 28 at Phek Town Council Hall building. Proprietor of Elite Music Ensemble, Khreisangoyi Dozo shared some words of encouragement. Piano displays were presented by the students and piano instructor, Dovi.  

Vigilance Awareness Week observed in Longleng

Longleng, November 1 (DIPR): Vigilance Awareness Week was celebrated in Longleng on October 31 at the DC's conference hall. The ADC of Longleng, Temsuwati administered an oath to the Government officers and staffs of the district.
