DENSU joins demand for scholarship

Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): The Dimapur Eastern Naga Students' Union (DENSU) has extended support to the Eastern Nagaland College Students' Union (ENCSU) regarding disbursement of scholarship and condemned the "lackadaisical policy" of the department concerned. “The suspension (of scholarship) has created unwanted inconveniences for the students who have been eagerly waiting for its benefits and which is the fundamental rights of the students,” asserted a statement from DENSU president, Stephen Chang and U/A secretary, Alise Sangtam. The Union stated that many students have depended on the meager amount of benefits to boost their academic career. DENSU further appealed to the authority concerned to release the scholarship at the earliest.  

VVPAT workshop with media on Nov 10

Kohima, November 7 (DIPR): A state level workshop with media on awareness of VVPAT (Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail) will be held on November 10 at Hotel Japfü, Kohima from 11:00 am onwards. This was informed by the Chief Electoral Officer, Abhijit Sinha in a circular on November 6, 2017. The workshop is being organized in view of the introduction of VVPATs in the upcoming general election to the State Legislative Assembly, 2018. All the print and electronic media have been instructed to attend the programme positively.  

Phek DPDB meeting

Phek, November 7 (MExN): DC & Vice Chairperson, DPDB, Phek, Kovi Meyase has in a circular informed that the monthly Phek DPDB meeting will be held on November 10. The meeting will deliberate on approval of recasting of schemes under 17th Chizami A/C and Common Pool Schemes for LADP, 2017-18. Members have been informed that no representatives except the Heads of Offices should attend the meeting as matters are crucial and unprecedented. The circular also informed that the time and venue for the meeting remain the same.  

Regularized GTs in Dimapur reminded

Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): Regularized GT Forum Dimapur (RGTF7) has reminded all regularized Graduate Teachers (GTs) against sanctioned posts to submit their documents and fees to DEO staffs, Hoshito and Akala on or before November 10. List of the teachers’ names and documents submitted will be sent to central team for compilation of the new seniority list for onward approval by DSE, stated a press release from Neizevotuo Nakhro, Convener, RGTF7, Dimapur.  

AGOK Badze Multi-Utility Centre

Kohima, November 7 (MExN): The foundation stone of AGOK Badze Multi-Utility Centre at AGOK Badze, Meriema, Kohima will be laid by Additional Chief Secretary & Finance Commissioner, Nagaland, Temjen Toy on November 9 at 10:00 am. In this regard, the president AGOK has invited all members of the Krotho to attend the programme.  

DC Dimapur directs to attend 3rd Inter-Departmental Sports Meet

Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome has directed all the heads of departments/offices along with staff under Dimapur district to compulsorily attend the inaugural programme of the 3rd Inter-Departmental Sports Meet on November 9 at 9:30 am at the State Stadium, Dimapur. Further, all the departments were requested to bring their respective flags.
