PAC NCD asks NSCN (K) to apologise
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 10 (MExN): The Public Action Committee (PAC) of the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) today condemned the NSCN (K)’s move to deny any involvement in the life bid on businessman L Duolo on September 9. The PCA NCD said it would “not give moral and other support” to the NSCN (K) till they publicly apologize. A press note from the PAC, NCD said that “lies and manipulations are demeaning the good stature of the NSCN (K) on one hand while on the other hand, we cannot allow the Naga people to be taken for a ride with lies justifying the wrong.” It further stated that “should any harm” befall L Duolo, “the Naga public will not take it lying down.” “We the Naga public not only condemn the murder attempt and the easy and convenient justification of the criminal act, but we also refuse to be cowed by bullets and criminals. We shall build the Naga nation by fighting against rogue elements in our national struggle,” it added.
DC Kohima informs on affidavit
KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 10 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, has informed the general public that selling of pre-filled or ready-made affidavit, sales deed in non-judicial papers is strictly prohibited. In this connection, the DC has stated that such documents result in distortion of information and will attract penal provisions against the deponent. Also, sale of legal documents by shops tends to demean the established procedures of law, he said. The notification added that sale of such mentioned documents is strictly prohibited and anyone found selling the same will be booked under relevant sections of law.
Nagaland BJP officials attend ‘sammelan’ in Ziro
Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): President of BJP Minority Morcha Nagaland State, Mukibur Rahman attended the ‘Sarva Dharma Sammelan’ in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh as resource person on November 7. It was organized by BJP Minority Morcha Arunachal Pradesh. Mukibur Rahman in his speech said that Congress and other political party use minority communities as vote bank only without giving their due share, according to a press release from general secretary, BJP Minority Morcha Nagaland State. Minority communities, Rahman noted, are lacking behind especially in North East India and urged Government of India to give importance to the people of North East by granting funds to develop higher educational institutions and medical facilities. Thomas Magh, BJP National Executive Member from Nagaland also attended the programme.
Review camp for people with disability in Phek
