KYO apprehend one for bike theft

Kohima, November 15 (MExN): The Kezieke Youth Organization (KYO) today informed that it caught a person red handed while he was trying to steal a bike on the night of November 13 from the colony. The accused identified as Zhovizo Zao has been handed over to North Police Station Kohima, stated a press release from KYO information & publicity secretary, Neidi Dzüvichü and president, Neibazotuo Sorhie. Informing that vehicle theft has become a menace “which cannot be tolerated anymore”, KYO appealed to the authority to take up the case seriously and take appropriate action against the accused.  

Lotha Hoho Jalukie suspends membership of one

Jalukie, November 15 (MExN): The Lotha Hoho Jalukie has immediately suspended Yihamo Lotha, who was accused of attempting to rape a minor on November 7 in Jalukie, from its membership by invoking resolution No.4 (e) and No.6 of its Rules. While condemning the act of the accused, the Hoho stated that all co-operations will be provided to the investigating agency and the judiciary for speedy disposal of the case. It also prayed to the Almighty to grant quick recovery to the child and strength to the affected family.  

AR recover arms, ammunition

Mokokchung, November 15 (MExN): 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) recovered cache of weapons hidden at Merangkong Tea Garden in the presence of police representatives on November 14, according to a press release from Assam Rifles. The recoveries, which included one US Carbine MK-III with magazine, two 12 Bore Guns along with live ammunition, were handed over to Police Station Tuli, it added.  

DBC to construct girls’ hostel

Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): Discipleship Bible College, Dimapur organised a prayer programme to dedicate the foundation laying for construction of the college girls’ hostel on November 14. DBC Principal, Rev. O. Alem disclosed that the estimate budget for the three-storied hostel is Rs. 1.7 crore. DBC Development Council convenor, Dr. Sünep Imchen said there are donors who have come forward to contribute cement, sand, stone boulders, iron rod while same have assured to sponsor rooms in honour of their parents. To mark the foundation for construction, DBC Governing Board chairperson Er Obang Longchari dug the soil at the proposed site which was followed by prayer. Discipleship Bible College is located at Mount Miracle in Signal Angami and offers course for M.Div; B.Th and Diploma in Theology under Asia Theological Association (ATA).  

Army recruitment candidates informed

Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): All candidates who passed the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) of Army Recruitment Rally Manipur (ARO Rangapahar) conducted on October 29 at Bhagat Stadium, Rangapahar, Dimapur have been requested to collect their call up/joining letter from ARO Rangapahar between December 13 and 16. A press release from Press Information Bureau (Defence Wing) informed that successful candidates will be informed telephonically regarding date on which they have to report to Army Recruitment Officer’s (ARO) office, Rangapahar. Candidates who have passed have been requested to bring their original documents and one set of photocopy of all documents submitted by them during the rally time along with 6 passport size photographs.
