Dimapur DC informs on Governor’s medal

Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome has informed the various Departments/Institutions/NGOs/Individuals under Dimapur District to collect the forms for deserving cases for award of Governor’s Gold Medal/Governor’s Commendation Certificates from the DC’s Office, Dimapur. The last date of submission of forms is on or before November 28. The medals/certificates will be given during the occasion of Republic Day on January 26, 2018.  

DC Dimapur informs

Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Kesonyu Yhome has informed all Heads of Offices/Departments under Dimapur district who have not submitted the list of employees and vehicles as per the prescribed format to submit to the DC office on or before November 22.  

Atoizu Area GB Hoho turns 25

Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): Atoizu Area GB Hoho will be celebrating its 25th anniversary on November 25 from 9:00 am onwards at the Local Ground, Atoizu. In this regard, the Chairman and members of the Hoho have requested the attendance of all GBs, Council Chairmen/Secretaries, and Church leaders of Atoizu area. Er. Picto Shohe will be the chief guest on the occasion, the Hoho informed.  

Senior Citizens extend support to PCC-led protest

Kohima, November 20 (MExN): The Nagaland Senior Citizens Association (NSCA) has voiced its support for the Public Coordination Committee (PCC)-led sit in protest. The ongoing sit in protest by the PCC, ACAUT, and PSAN supported by other NGOs at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Gate is a right step, the NSCA stated in a press release. “Unethical deeds, wrong doings and misdeeds are at the height of its peak and have reached the condition of saturation in the land of Nagaland for Christ,” it stated and extended its wishes for success in the ongoing sit-in protest.  

PHED Kiphire appeals

Kiphire, November 20 (MExN): The PHED Kiphire division has appealed consumers to bear with the department over the disruption of water supply in Kiphire town. While expressing regret that the water supply to Kiphire town was disrupted due to leakage of pipes, the department in a press release stated that it is trying its best to restore the supply. “However, the department is taking time in the process due to technical problem,” the department stated without giving any additional information.  

PHH Card holders of Purana Bazaar informed

Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): PHH card holders under Purana Bazaar have been informed that rice supply for the month of November will be distributed on November 22. Therefore, all the card holders are requested to collect their quota from the Council Hall from 7:00 am till 2:00 pm.  

Vehicle lifter caught

Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): One person was arrested for allegedly attempting to steal an auto-rickshaw. According to a press release from the Dimapur Police, the accused, identified as one Laventhung Lotha, a resident of 1st Gate, Chumukedima, was arrested after he was caught trying to steal an Auto rickshaw from Walford area, Dimapur on November 10. A case in this regard has been registered at East PS for further investigation.  

Kumar, Deb heads State NCP’s Minority Cell

Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): The President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Nagaland State has appointed Ajit Kumar and Suman Deb as Convener and General Secretary of the State Minority Cell respectively. A press release in this regard directed the convener to revamp and strengthen the State Unit along with Dimapur District at the earliest.  

Baptist Mission High observes World Toilet Day

Phek, November 20 (DIPR): Along with the rest of the world, World Toilet Day was observed at Phek Village on November 19 under the theme “Wastewater.” The event was organized by the Baptist Mission High School, Phek Village, and sponsored by the WSSO Nagaland, PHED, Phek. Hygiene & Sanitation Consultant, Virhelie Kruneilie spoke on the theme, besides highlighting the importance and the impact of sanitation.
