CEC in Kohima to review poll preparedness

Kohima, November 27 (DIPR): Chief Election Commissioner of India AK Jyoti along with Election Commissioners OP Rawat and Sunil Aorora, Deputy Election Commissioner Sudeep Jain, and Director General Dilip Sharma arrived at Kohima on November 27 to review poll preparedness for the forthcoming Assembly Election. The Commission held a meeting with all the recognised Political Parties, DCs & SPs and will have a meeting with the Chief Secretary and DGP at Hotel Japfu on November 28. This will be followed by a Press Conference at Conference Hall of Hotel Japfu.  

ANDMSA Mon unit supports agitation

Mon, November 27 (MExN): The Mon unit of All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA) has expressed support to the three-day agitation called by the parent ANDMSA, which began on November 27. A press release from the unit president, Ngaching Konyak and general secretary, Amos Lotha has requested all the Action Committee members of each block who have been appointed to supervise the various offices to reach the venue near UDO office, Mon by 9:30 am during the period of agitation.  

Neiba Ndang joins NDPP

Dimapur, November 27 (MExN): Neiba Ndang, former Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, former State NCP president, national secretary NCP, and secretary general NCP-North East joined the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) on November 27. He was welcomed at an official meeting chaired by NDPP president Chingwang Konyak in Dimapur, informed a press release from NDPP Media & Communications Committee. Neiba was also the Executive Member of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association representing SE Asian countries, the release said.  

Hindi Teachers meeting

Dimapur, November 27 (MExN): All the 1357 Hindi Teachers (2012-2013 batch) have been informed that there will be a general meeting on November 29 at Ura Academy Hall, Mission Compound near Baptist Higher Secondary School, Kohima at 10:30 am. All the teachers have been requested to attend the meeting positively. Stern action will be initiated against the absentees, cautioned a press release from 2012-13 batch Hindi Teachers convenor, Ilika Aye.
