PwD review camp in Phek

Phek, December 4 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner Phek, Shanavas C, IAS in a press release informed that a review camp for the Persons with Disability will be held at 22nd Bn. Assam Rifles, Phek on December 7 from 10:00 am onwards. Therefore all concerned persons with disability in Phek District have been requested to attend the abovementioned camp along with Disability Certificate for physical examination and subsequent distribution of aids and tools to the deserving persons.  

One held for printing extortion slips

Kohima, December 4 (MExN): The 3 Assam Rifles on December 2 apprehended a woman in Kohima for allegedly printing extortion slips. According to a defence press release, the woman, identified as Mashevinu Chaya, carried out the printing at Ato Xerox Centre, near NSF office in Kohima. She revealed that she printed the extortion slips as she had been demanded to do so by the various factions, the release stated. The woman was later handed over to North Police Station for further investigation.  

JTYS Annual Youth Day

Kohima, December 4 (MExN): The Jakhama Town Youth Society (JTYS) will be celebrating its annual Youth Day in Town Hall on December 10 (Sunday), 12:30 pm with Rokovizo Meze exhorting the gathering. Volley ball competition among the four colonies will be held after the program. Champions and 1st Runners-up will be awarded. Members are cordially invited to participate on this auspicious occasion.  

Soft skills training for unemployed

Mokokchung, December 4 (MExN): The Govt. ITI Mokokchung will be conducting soft skills training for labourers and unemployed at six locations in the district. The training will be taken up from December 6 to 8 at ITI Mokokchung, Artang Community Hall (CH), Penli CH, Sungkomen CH, Tongdentsuyong CH. A press release from Govt. ITI Mokokchung Principal Er. Imlisunep informing this stated that travelling allowance of Rs. 300 per day and lunch will be provided. A career guidance programme at MTBA Conference Hall will also be held on the same dates. No pre registration is required for the programme.  

6th Tening ACCC (I) resign en-mass

Tening, December 4 (MExN): The 6th Tening ACCC (I) under the leadership of Dr. Tumda Newme, member of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), held an emergency general meeting on November 27 at the latter’s residence and unanimously resolved to resign en-mass from the Indian National Congress as the public of the constituency “no longer has hope” on the Congress party in Nagaland. The former Congress party office bearers have now joined the newly registered Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), a press release from Ziekuidi Zeliang, President, NDPP Peren Region informed.
