NPF legislators endorse party resolution Kohima, April 18 (MExN): NPF legislators today resolved to endorse and uphold the resolution passed by the Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF) party in its meeting held on April 16, 2016. The resolution was made during the meeting of the NPF legislators held at the State Banquet Hall. The legislators also resolved to reaffirm their support to the leadership of T. Zeliang, Chief Minister, Nagaland and Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, President NPF & Chairman DAN, stated a press release received here.  

  44 A/C Phomching Cong dissolved Mon, April 18 (MExN): The Area Congress Committee, Area Youth Congress, Village Congress Committee, and Village Mahila Congress of the 44 A/C Phomching today resolved to dissolve the Congress party in Phomching Assembly Constituency. This decision was made during the general body meeting of the above held at the residence of Konngam, Ex-MLA. “Hence, the Congress Party and its various committees stand dissolved in the constituency,” stated a press release received here. GHSS colony Wokha meeting Wokha, April 18 (MExN): The Council of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) colony, Wokha has convened a general meeting on April 23, 3:00 pm at GHSS campus. Therefore, the Council Chairman, W. Nchemo Humtsoe, has requested all the bonafide members/households of GHSS colony to attend the meeting positively.     NNC (N/A) dissolves Core Committee Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): The collective leadership of NNC (Non-Accordist) has dissolved the ‘Core Committee' for violation of the central guidelines No 4, 6 and 7 with immediate effect. The committee shall be dissolved till further order, stated a press release issued by MIP, NNC (N/A).     DPC general meeting Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): General meeting of Dimapur Press Club (DPC) will be held on April 20, 12:00 noon at the Press Point, Super Market. All registered members have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.     NSCN (R) welcomes “home comers” Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): The NSCN (Reformation) has welcomed several workers from different Naga Political Groups at its sub-office in Mon. A release from MIP, NSCN (R) informed that the new “Home Comers” include N. Anden, Deputy Kilonser (GPRN/NSCN), Vitsu Robert, Dy. Kilonser (NNC/Non Accordist), Capt. Alih (GPRN/NSCN) and Lieut. Langphong (GPRN/NSCN). Along with the “Home Comers”, NSCN (R) received 1 AK 56 and ammunitions. According to the press release, the new “Home Comers” stated they have lost confidence in the leadership of their respective NPGs and decided to join NSCN (R).     School Edu informs Kohima, April 18 (MExN): All the Principals, Vice Principals and Post Graduate Teachers of Higher Secondary Cadres under the School Education Department who have been regularized in service till date have been directed to collect Performa format in regard to preparation of ‘Revised Tentative Seniority List’ on or before April 25. The concerned officers shall be briefed with the details and necessary documents for further submission (of the required Performa along with the documents) to the Department. Any officer failing to comply with this notice shall be held responsible for non-inclusion in the Seniority List of the cadre, informed Senthang, Director of School Education.     World Malaria Day on April 25 Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): The Office of Urban Vector Borne Disease Control Scheme (UVBDCS) will observe World Malaria Day on April 25, under the theme, ‘Think, Plan, Create – A Malaria Free Environment’ with ward wise sanitation drive competition on April 25 at Dimapur Urban Area. Therefore, all the ward youth wing have been requested to attend the co-ordination meeting on April 20 at CMO conference hall at 11:00 am with two representatives. For more detailed information, colonies youth may contact 9856425005.     SCD, DDADU condole Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): The Sumi Council, Dimapur (SCD) and Dimapur District Auto Drivers’ Union (DDADU) have expressed sadness and pain at the demise of Khenivi Kiba, a former Chairman of SCD and father of Akaho Kibami, DDADU Chief Advisor, on April 16. In separate condolence messages, SCD Chairman, Kuhoi Zhimo and DDADU President, K Hokaito Zhimomi remembered that Khenivi, an early settler of Dimapur, was involved in different social activities in Dimapur over the years. In his death, the Sumis in particular and the people of Dimapur in general have lost a senior leader and the void created will be difficult to fill, the messages stated. The two organizations prayed that the bereaved family will get strength to overcome the grief.
