CM to grace Civil Services Day Kohima, April 19 (DIPR): The Civil Services Day celebration will be held on April 21 and 22 at the Administrative Training Institute, Kohima. In the inaugural programme on April 21 at 10:00 am, Chief Minister TR Zeliang will be present as the chief guest. Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Finance Commissioner, P&AR and Sericulture Department, Temjen Toy will chair the inaugural function. Chief Secretary, Nagaland, Pankaj Kumar, will give the opening remarks. The CM will inaugurate Personal Information & Management System (PIMS) in the inaugural function. He will also launch the website of P&AR department.     Workshop and consultation on human trafficking Kohima, April 19 (DIPR): The State Resource Centre for Women and Anyay Rahit Zindagi (ARZ), Goa in collaboration with the Nagaland Police is organizing a state level workshop and consultation on human trafficking with special emphasis on commercial sexual exploitation and child labour from April 21 to 22 at the conference hall of Police Headquarter Kohima at 9:00 am. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together key service providers and experts of various government and non-government agencies from various states and to deliberate the way forward in addressing the issue of the state.     TYOD meeting Dimapur, April 19 (MExN): Tenyimi Youth Organization, Dimapur (TYOD) has scheduled a meeting on April 20, 2:00 pm at Tenyimi Complex, near Tragopan Hotel, Dimapur. A press release from TYOD Information & Publicity Secretary has informed all the office bearers and tribal representatives to attend the meeting positively.  

  Nagaland to celebrate Earth Day 2016 Kohima, April 19 (MExN): The Government Polytechnic Kohima in association with Key Foundation, New Delhi supported by Ministry of Earth Science, Government of India will celebrate Earth Day from April 20 to 21 under the theme “Caring Mother Earth” at the premises of Government Polytechnic Kohima. FP Solo, Commissioner & Secretary for School Education & SCERT will grace the inaugural function on April 20 at 9:30 am as the chief guest, while Athili Kathipri, Director, Technical Education will grace the valedictory function on April 21 at 12:30 pm as the guest of honour. The celebration will marked by slogan and drawing competition based on caring mother earth, quiz competition based on science & technology on April 20 and awareness rally on April 21.     IMPCC meet on April 21 Kohima, April 19 (DIPR): Director Engineering (DE) of All India Radio, Kohima and IMPCC Chairperson KK Rengma has requested all the Nagaland IMPCC members to attend the Inter Media Programme Coordination Committee (IMPCC) meeting on April 21 in the office chamber of DE, AIR, Kohima at 1:00 pm. Apart from the usual reviews and potential improvement of programmes, the meeting will also accord farewell to the DE of DDK, PU Mohapatra who is being transferred to Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. Also, being the introductory meeting of this current year, the Chairperson has requested the members/ representatives to positively attend the meeting.     Free dental screening camp Dimapur, April 19 (MExN): Leo Club of Dimapur will organise the second free dental screening camp for public at the Lions Health Centre, Lions club of Dimapur, Midland, Dimapur on April 23 and 24 (Saturday and Sunday) from 10:00 am till 3:00 pm. The spot registration can be done at the venue on the day of the screening. For more information, contact the program chairman at 9436066677, 9436609469, 9615193320 or 9774975054.     DC Kohima informs to clear culverts/drains Kohima, April 19 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Rovilatuo Mor has informed that many incidents of flash floods, landslides and damage of roads occur due to blocked culverts and side drains. Therefore, he has requested the concerned departments/agencies to inspect all the culverts/drains under their respective area/jurisdiction and to make priority effort to clear the drains and culverts prior to the onset of monsoon.     CTA 36th session from April 22 Kohima, April 19 (MExN): The Chakhesang Theological Association (CTA) will hold its 36th session from April 22 to 24 at Phuhgi Baptist Church, Phuhgi village under the theme “Engaging Community.” The resource persons of the session include; Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, general secretary NBCC, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, executive secretary CBCC, Rev. Reminiscence speech will be delivered by the president of the Naga National Council (NNC) Adinno Phizo. Secretary of the Federal Government of Nagaland, Thihü Khamo in a press release has invited all to attend the programme.
