Zeliang greets Sumis on Tuluni Kohima, July 7 (MExN): Chief Minister of Nagaland, TR Zeliang, on Thursday, greeted the Sumi community on the auspicious occasion of Tuluni. Tuluni celebration signifies abundance and fruitful season and is celebrated by both young and old symbolizing unity and oneness, Zeliang said his message released by the Media Cell, Chief Minister’s Office Nagaland. The CM expressed hope that the celebration will bring peace, prosperity and serenity to all Nagas, and especially for the Sumi community, it added. ASUKCK annual fresher’s day Kohima, July 7 (MExN): The Angami Students Union, Kohima College Kohima will hold its annual freshers’ day on July 9 at Ura Academy Hall Kohima from 10:00 AM. Dr. Neiphi Kire, Rtd principal director, health & family welfare will be the chief guest while Keneilesa Neikha, HoD, department of history Kohima College Kohima will be the guest of honour. ATMA Kohima conducts training Kohima, July 7 (DIPR): ATMA Kohima district conducted district level training on Local made detergent and dish wash gel and hand wash at Khedi Baptist Church, Kohima village on July 6. The main aim of the training programme was to encourage the youth for promoting own local made products for sustainable livelihood and generate income. DAO & PD (ATMA) VizonyuLiezie enlightened the participants by sharing some of the successful activities of the SHGs promoted by ATMA Kohima district. He appraised the participants to start learning and doing from their own home and then help our societies. The resource person Rokoshuno Angela, Dy. PD (ATMA) gave a hand on demonstration to the participants on the said topic. All together 36 trainees were benefitted. BJP Kohima meeting held Kohima, July 7 (MExN): The Bharatya Janata Party (BJP) Kohima District held its district executive meeting on July 4 at Hut Restaurant, which was attended by mandal presidents of seven constituencies of Kohima Districts. The meeting deliberated at the achievements of the NDA government at the centre. Various schemes launched by NDA government were highlighted such as Swachch Bharat, Skill India, Digital India, Ujwala Yojna, Mudra etc. Among the speakers, R. Soup Angamin, State Executive members, Vizopal Chaya, D.A.C Convenor Vineizo Tsürho, President S.T Morcha, Thomas Magh, President Minority Morcha also spoke at the meeting. Combined social work at Phek Phek, July 7 (MExN): The combined social work and tree plantation drive was conducted by Phek Town Youth Society and Phek Village Youth Organization on July 7. Around 130 youth participated in the social work which started from Phek Town and to Phek Village covering 9 km from Phek Town. It included clean up and desilting nullah, filling the potholes and clearing the road site weed grass. Vekusheyi, SDO Civil Phek provided refreshment while PWD (Mechanical) Department donated their excavator for the work. Fasting held at Mon DC office Mon, July 7 (MExN): One day prayer and fasting programme of Deputy Commissioner’s office Mon was held at DB Court DC office Complex on July 6. The programme was led by Rev. J. Tenwang Konyak, District Chaplain Mon. The purpose of organizing the Fasting programme was to seek long and good life of the Government employees posted under the district administration in particular and all Government employees of the state in general to discharge their assigned duties with sincerity and dedication with true spirit of Christian principles and moral values. All Government employees of DC office Mon participated in the prayer & fasting programme which begin at 6:00 am and culminated at 1.30 pm. NGBF informs to submit list of GBs Dimapur, July 7 (MExN): The Nagaland GB Federation has informed all the District GBs Associations to submit the list of GBs (both expired and retired) for GBs Corpus Fund Scheme 2016 on or before July 20. The NGBF also informed all the Districts GBs Associations to submit the list of all the Government appointed GBs, mentioning their name and village/colony to the office of Nagaland GB Federation.
