
FPHM, IDC fortnight in Wokha Wokha, July 9 (MExN): As part of the State Level Advocacy on World Population Day, the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Wokha will be holding the launch of Family Planning Health Mela Fortnight and Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight on July 11, 10am at Tiyi Town Hall. Nagaland Home Minister Y. Patton will be the Chief Guest on the occasion. Anti rabies vaccination camp conducted at Tseminyu Tseminyu, July 9 (DIPR): The Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry conducted Anti rabies vaccination camp at Veterinary Dispensary office compound Tseminyu town on July 7 where 54 domestic dogs were vaccinated during the camp. When asked about the purpose of Anti rabies camp, the Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Dr. GwazenloTep interestingly said 90% of rabies are being transmitted to human beings in India through dogs and such cases are also found in Nagaland. He also said that the safest and economic way of preventing rabies related problems is vaccination of dogs. The vaccination camp was successfully conducted. Free checkup for women Dimapur, July 9 (MExN): Sanjeevani Polyclinic & Diagnostic Centre has informed that it will provide free Doctor consultancy service with prior and proper appointment by Dr Sanjib Chowdhury (General Physician) on every 9th day of the month to the poor and downtrodden women in the state of Nagaland. According to a press release, the move comes on the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to doctors to give one day free check up every month to the poor and downtrodden women in the country. LBCK Bayavu Youth Music & Bible Camp underway Kohima, July 9 (DIPR): The Liangmai Baptist Church Kohima Youth Department Bayavu Hill is organizing Music Camp and Bible Study, under the banner “Music & Bible for restoration of souls” from July 7 to 10 at their church premises, Bayavu Hill Kohima. Youth Director Kawirangbo Nbung said the Youth Department organize such Camp once in a year to encourage one another and to create good relationship amongst the youths. He also said that through this Music and Bible Study, parents will discover many changes in the youth ministry and the church will be lightened of its burden in the near future. The Youth Director also requested all the LBCK youth to turn up and register their names and avail the opportunity of feeding their spiritual life, and also urged the believers to give support through prayers.
