
Shutter down on I-Day Dimapur, August 13 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur has directed all markets and shops to remain closed till 12 noon on August 15. A press release from the DC Dimapur further informed all Heads of Deparments/Offices under Dimapur District that the attendance at the Independence Day function will be mandatory. Attendance of all Departmental Officers and staff of Dimapur District will be taken at DDSC Stadium at 4pm on August 15. The attendance sheet should be handed over to ADC Dimapur, it informed. In this regard, all Heads of Department have been directed to inform their officers and staff to attend the function accordingly. One arrested under NLTP Kohima, August 13 (MExN): Kohima Police personnel manning Phesama check gate while conducting routine checking and frisking of vehicles on Friday night intercepted one Tata Mobile bearing registration No. NL01K-1050 and recovered assorted IMFL comprising of 4 cases of MC Rum and 11 cases of Kingfisher beer. Midland Panchayat informs Kohima, August 13 (MExN): As per the resolution of the meeting held on August 8 between the Midland Panchayat and the Pastors of the 17 churches located in the Church Road, the Panchayat has decided to impose ‘One Way Traffic’ policy on every Sunday with effect from July 3 due to heavy traffic problem in the Church Road. The public have been notified that the ‘One Way Traffic’ will be ‘IN’ from the North - War Cemetery side. No vehicle will be allowed to come from the South (PWD/Chandmari) side from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Sundays.
