Travel Advisory TUENSANG, AUGUST 14 (MExN): The Executive Engineer PWD (NH) Division-III, Tuensang has informed all commuters that the bridge located at 32.750km between Chare and Mokokchung on NH-202(155 Old) has been washed away. Therefore, commuters are advised to travel via the following route till the road is restored: Longsa – Suruhoto – Yangli; Mokochung – Longmesa – Alisophur – Throngar (Only Light Vehicles); and Mokokchung – Chuchuyimpang – Chare.     4th Bn NNC celebrate Naga Independence Day Wokha, August 14 (MExN): The 4th Battalion NNC-NNA Lotha Region celebrated the 60th Naga Independence Day at the residence of Brigadier M. Kithan, Wokha Town, with Commandant 4th Bn, Chichamo Humtsoe, unfurling the Naga National Flag. According to a press release, Brig Kithan spoke during the programme and harped on Naga unity and further urged all patriots to dedicate their service for the nation.  

  Peren Police recover stolen vehicles Peren, August 14 (MExN): Peren Police have recovered two stolen vehicles and handed them over to the rightful owners after observing all necessary legal formalities, according to a press release from Superintendent of Police, Peren. The release informed that based on reliable information, two stolen Boleros were intercepted at Mhainamtsi inter-district check gate. One of the vehicles bearing registration number NL-07-6372, which was reportedly stolen from Khatkhati on August 11, 2016, was seized at the gate. However, the second Bolero with registration number NL-07-8670 tried to escape; it was intercepted and seized after a high speed chase towards Heningkunglwa, the release said. One suspect has been arrested in this connection and further investigation is in progress, it was added.
