A press release from Dimapur’s Hindu Seva Samiti president further informed that the Samiti will celebrate Vijaya Sammelan on October 23, 5:00 pm onwards at Shri Durga Mandir Hall, Old Daily Market, Dimapur with all the religious songs and dance, etc. Therefore, all the Puja Committees have been invited to attend the same. Awards will be distributed in the Sammelan. Disaster management training at Satakha Sataka, October 16 (DIPR): One day training on Disaster Management was held on October 14 at Public Ground, Satakha. The programme was organized by Administration Office, Satakha in collaboration with Civil Defence & Home Guards, Zunheboto. SDO(C), Satakha, Atsungba Walling in his introductory speech urged the department officials, GBs and students to be aware of do's and don’ts as and when disaster strikes. He also asked the participants to create awareness among their family, friends and neighbours. The programme was led by District Commandant, Civil Defence and Home Guards, Y. Khenito Chishi. The Civil Defence personnel demonstrated mock drill, various methods for rescue of victims during the programme. Viswema Village Council gets new team Kohima, October 16(MExN): The Viswema Village Council elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2016-20. The new team will be led by Zhotoho Kiso as Chairman, Kekhruhol Mekro as Secretary, Düsü Naleo as Treasurer, and Vitsorel Lcho as VDB Secretary. The new team has taken over charge to run the office, and therefore, it is informed that, henceforth, the new team will be dealing with all the matters relating to Village Council, Viswema, a press release from the Council stated.
