CSS Hindi teachers agitation postponed to Nov 22 DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 12 (MExN): The proposed agitation called by the CSS Hindi teachers on November 15 has been postponed to November 22, 2016. This was decided at an emergency meeting of CSS Executive Hindi Teachers and ANHTU office bearers on November 12 at the convener’s residence. The agitation has been postponed due to some technical problem, a press note stated. It has therefore requested all the CSS Hindi teachers to reach DoSE, Kohima at 8:00 am on November 22, while cautioning that necessary action would be initiated against non-attending teachers. ABCC mourns Kohima, November 12 (MExN): Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) has expressed sadness at the passing away of Dr. Satuo Sekhose, “a pillar and stalwart of the Council”, on November 8. A condolence message from ABCC Executive Director, V. Atsi Dolie informed that Dr. Satuo served as ABCC President from 1984-1985, and 1990-1995. He also served as the Chairman of the Managing Board of Baptist English School (now Baptist High) owned by ABCC from 1962-1964. He was very involved in the establishment of Shalom Bible Seminary by being the Chairman of its Governing Body from 1996 -2007, the note added. “Besides shouldering these responsibilities for the Council, both he and predeceased wife Khrieü had been all out in every possible way in serving the Council,” it acknowledged. The Council further prayed for consolation of the families and loved ones left behind. Bethany-I Colony, Phek condemns Phek, November 12 (MExN): Bethany-I Colony of Phek Town has condemned the “inhuman act” of Surhoseyi (Kuvethi) Keyho, who allegedly raped a minor girl at Bethany-I Colony during middle of August 2016. A condemnation note jointly appended by Huvosa Venuh, chairman, Vepatso Khamo, general secretary of Bethany-I Parent Body and Keneizo Venuh, president, Sezo Khesoh, general secretary of Bethany-I Youth Wing stated that “the shameful act of Kuvethi was beyond human tolerance,” and thus urged the competent authority to give befitting punishment to the perpetrator as per the law of the land. The colony on behalf of its entire citizens also conveyed sympathy to the victim. ZBK condemns attack on NNC member Kohima, November 12 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Baudi Kohima (ZBK) today condemned the November 10 incident at Mission Compound here, where unidentified gunman shot and wounded Kadingdai, member of NNC Zeliangrong region. A press release from ZBK stated that “such inhuman act cannot bring any solution to our society; rather it creates more disunity among the society.” Therefore, it appealed to all the Naga political groups to respect and love one another as one own brothers.
