
Training for elementary teachers Kohima, November 29 (MExN): All the elementary teachers have been informed that there will be a mass teachers' training at each of the 46 Educational Block Resource Centres (FBRCs) of the State on three priority areas – PINDICS, Shaala Siddhi, and Mathematics Learning Kit. A press release from FP Solo, Commissioner & Secretary, School Education & SCERT and Vice Chairman, SSA, Nagaland has directed all the elementary teachers to attend the training without fail. The tentative training date has been fixed between December 2 and 10. The final training schedule will be intimated by respective DMA and EBRC. Stating that attendance of all elementary teachers is compulsory, the release cautioned that "No Work, No Pay" shall be imposed on the absentee teachers. Three wards added to Mkg Municipal Council Mokokchung, November 29 (DIPR): A notification which had kept in abeyance creation of three wards under Mokokchung Municipal Council has been revoked. The creation of the three wards – Marepkong Ward, Mongsenphai Ward and Lijabalijen Ward – was kept in abeyance vide notification number UDD/ MAC- 7/ 2009 dated 31/01/2012. The Cabinet decided to add the above mentioned wards to the Mokokchung Municipal Council in its meeting held on November 18, 2016, as communicated by the Cabinet Cell vide No. CAB-2/2013 dated 19/11/2016. Therefore, the Governor of Nagaland has ordered the revocation of the notification number UDD/ MAC- 7/ 2009 dated 31/01/2012. School Edu dept informs Kohima, November 29 (MExN): Additional Director of School Education, Pollem Tep has reminded the elementary and secondary officers and Graduate Teachers who have not submitted B.Ed pass marksheet and certificate to submit the same to the Directorate of School Education at Room No. 19 on or before December 8, 2016. Those who fail to comply with the order shall not be included in the seniority list, the Additional Director stated. List of amendment for municipal e-roll Kohima, November 29 (MExN): Electoral Registration Officer, Kohima Municipality, Kethosituo Sekhose has notified that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for the constituency/ constituencies of the Kohima Municipality has been prepared with reference to 01/01/2016 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2001, and the Nagaland Municipal Election Rules, 2003. He also stated that the e-roll together with the said list of amendments has been published and will be available for inspection at the office. In a separate press release, Elizabeth Ngully, Electoral Registration Officer, Dimapur Municipal Council notified that the list of amendments to the final electoral roll for the constituency/constituencies of the Dimapur municipality has been prepared with reference to 01/01/2016 as the qualifying date. Dimapur bodies pledge for clean election Dimapur, November 29 (MExN): A meeting was conducted in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur on November 29 in connection to the proposed conduct of municipal council election under Dimapur district. Consumer Society informs Dimapur, November 29 (MExN): Dimapur based Consumer Society today reminded that the Government of India has directed all the banks to issue an amount of Rs. 24,000 per week. Therefore, it has asked the public of Dimapur to contact its office located at Purana Bazaar if the banks fail to issue that amount.
