Notification on pre-matric scholarship for minority student
Kohima, December 2 (DIPR): All the Head of the Institutions of both Government & Private schools have been informed that application submitted by the student for Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minority student through online must be verified by respective head of the institution for their concerned student without fail before December 19 as directed by the Ministry. Many student applications are yet to be verified by the head of the Institution and in this connection, the Department has issued Notification on August 29, 2016 and September 22, 2016 respectively which was published in all the local dailies. The Department has also reminded to those Institutions who are yet to obtain their Institution USER ID and Password to acquire it from the Directorate of School Education within this week, the following numbers may be contacted for any information during office hours only. 8132858931/9436064560.
Observation of National Science Day
Kohima, December 2 (DIPR): Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India observes February 28 as National Science Day. In this connection the Department of Science & Technology (DST) has selected the theme for 2017 as “Science and Technology for Specially Abled Persons”. A notification issued by Prof. Dr Jaspal S. Sandhu, Secretary, University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked organization of National Science Day on 28th February, 2017 in respective Universities and in the affiliated colleges on the same theme in an appropriate manner.
