BJP to contest all 11 wards in Longleng
Longleng, December 3 (MExN): The Longleng District Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will participate in all eleven wards of Longleng Town in the forthcoming election of Municipal and Town Council 2017. A decision in this regard was taken during the 3rd Session of its executive meeting at the District Head Office on November 24. The meeting attended by District Mahila Mandal, District minority Morcha and executive members.
AR interacts with GBs, Chairmen in Shamatore
Shamatore, December 3 (MExN): The 15 Assam Rifles held an interaction with 25 village leaders which included GBs and Chairmen from four villages under Shamatore Sub Division on December 2. A defence press release stating this informed that the four villages included Shamatore Town, Melanchury, Yakur and Sangpurr villages. The interaction was held as part of the AR’s undertaking to maintain peace, harmony and cooperation. The defence release claimed that all participants vowed to continue the cordial relation with the Assam Rifles and to avoid clashes in the coming festival sessions.
Chumu Night Carnival from Dec 16
Chumukedima, December 3 (MExN): The 3rd Chumoukedima Night Carnival will be held from December 16 to 21. A press release from the Organising Committee informing this has asked interested parties to collect forms from the Chumoukedima Town Council (CTC) office from December 10 to 15 between 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on office days.
