MCCI warns against selling banned firecrackers
Mokokchung, December 10 (MExN): All members of the Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industries (MCCI) have been informed that anyone caught selling banned firecrackers during this festive season shall be heavily penalized. A press release from MCCI president, Tsukti Longkumer and general secretary, Limalenden Longkumer further declared that groups and/or individuals soliciting or collecting money from the traders in the guise of donations shall not be tolerated.
AR apprehend NSCN (K) cadre
Kohima, December 10 (MExN): A team of 9 Assam Rifles apprehended a Deputy Finance Secretary of NSCN (K) in Teen Patti area, Kohima at 1:30 pm on December 9. A press release from Assam Rifles alleged that Avika Achumi alias Avika Sema has been operating from Kohima since August 2016 and was in possession of large number of extortion slips. “Avika revealed that he has been carrying out extortion/ tax collection from various shops in Kohima,” the release added.
