Others who attended the meeting were YTC, Public Forum Shamator, Chambers of Commerce Shamator, Police, VG, 45AR, NDPP 58 A/C office bearers and Covid-19 Team Shamator. A basic training for drivers and conductors of the Nagaland State Transport (NST), organised by the Office of Chief Medical Officer, Kohima was held in its conference hall on May 2. The training was conducted for the NST drivers and conductors who have been detailed to perform emergency COVID-19 duties. Dr. Rupert DIO Kohima as the resource person enlightened the drivers and conductors on the basic safety measures with proper guidelines and protocols of COVID-19 to be followed while performing their duties. During the training, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) were also distributed to all the personnel for safety measures. 78th CRPF Battalion undertook Civic Action Programme at Chazou colony, Lerie, Kohima and distributed ration and sanitizers masks etc to the needy who are struggling to earn a single meal a day on May 2. The 78 Bn CRPF distributed 700 kg Rice and 140 Kgs Dal and other essentials and preventive items residents of Chazou colony, Lerie, Kohima in the presence of Sh Syamchand De, DIGP (OPS) Kohima, PK Mishra, 2 I/C, sub-ordinate officers and men of D/ 78th Battalion and other prominent citizens without organizing a formal function. Amid nationwide lockdown in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the 78th CRPF Battalion undertook Civic Action Programme at Phezoucha, L-Khel, Kohima & Upper PR Hill, Kohima on April 30 and May 1 respectively and distributed ration items, sanitizers, masks etc to the needy who are struggling to earn a single meal a day. The 78Bn CRPF distributed 1400 kg Rice, 280 Kgs Dal and other essentials and preventive items residents of Phezoucha on April 30 & in Upper P.R. Hill, Kohima on May 1 in the presence of Joseph Hrimai, Assistant Commandant, Sub-ordinate officers & men of B/C 78th  Bn and other prominent members of village without organizing a formal function.
