NF Railway Protection Force nabs mobile thieves

Maligaon, July 17 (MExN): Railway Protection Force (RPF) of NF Railway, Anti-Theft of Passenger Belongings (TOPB) has nabbed five petty thieves in different parts of N. F. Railway during the last three days.   A press release issued by the CPRO, RPF, NF Railway said that on July 13, Head Constable Hemanta Talukdar & Bikram Bose with a team RPF, Dimapur (Lumding Division) apprehended two mobile snatchers namely, Sultan Ali, and Jahar Ali and recovered one mobile handset (Gionee) from the possession of Sultan Ali and two mobile handsets (01 Huawei & 01 Intex) and cash from the possession of Jahar Ali. The apprehended persons along with the recovered mobiles were handed over to OC/GRP/Dimapur, Nagaland for necessary action.   On July 14, Head Constable Jamal Uddin along with Head Constable S. R. Shah of RPF/Post/Guwahati, while checking at Railway Gate No. 2 near Panbazar Bridge, Guwahati, apprehended one Mintu Phukan, a repeated offender and recovered one stolen Lenovo mobile. The arrested person along with the recovered mobile was handed over to OC/GRP/Guwahati who registered case No. 193/18.   On July 15, Asst Sub Inspector A. S. Singh along with staff of RPF Post, Chaparmukh arrested one person namely Nazrul Islam and recovered 2 (two) mobile handsets and other items including cash. The arrested person was handed over to OC/GRP/Chaparmukh for necessary action.   On the same day, Constable S. Mia and L Nama of RPF Post, Dharmanagar (Lumding Division) at Baraigram Jn, apprehended one person namely, Kabir Ahmed in the act of committing theft of mobile phone from a passenger of the said train. The arrested person was handed over to OC/GRP/Dharmanagar for necessary action.
