Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The Nagaland Football Association (NFA) has announced a shocking decision to ban 14 players from all NFA affiliated or registered tournaments and leagues for a period of five months, beginning from November 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024. This was as per a press statement issued by its General Secretary, Benei M Lamthiu on October 31 who mentioned that the action was taken as per the reports and findings submitted by the Disciplinary Action Committee. The following are the suspended players: Merensang, Nyithong Magh, Kekhrie Tsira, Sinlo Kent, Hekato, Hoatingmang Thomsong (Victor), James Kithan, Temjen Longkumer, Kevisalie Sechu, Petevizo Kezie-O, Rhitso Mero, Laloureiyang Pamei (Aloumai), Awang Renta, and Benrithung.
