DIMAPUR, JANUARY 17 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) officially launched the construction of the second double-lane galvanized steel bridge over the River Jungju at Hayiyan-Liphi Village, located in the Baghty Sector of Bhandari Sub-Division, on January 17. The inauguration ceremony took place with a simple prayer program.

The bridge project, which is part of the ongoing Foothill Road development initiative, will be executed by Quinker Enterprises at a cost of Rs 2.04 crore, as per the sanction work order issued by the Nagaland Public Works Department (NPWD) for Roads and Bridges (R&B). The bridge is expected to be completed within a period of 11 months. In addition to the bridge construction, other allocated works, for which implementing agreements have already been signed by various contractors, are set to commence as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, contractors and firms who have not yet signed the implementing agreement with the NFHRCC have been urged to comply with the terms and sign the agreements by January 20, in line with the stipulated deadline.
