NFR conducted Rozgar Melas in Guwahati, Dimapur, and Siliguri

Maligaon, July 12 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) organised Rozgar Melas at three key locations, Guwahati, Dimapur, and Siliguri as part of the Government of India’s nationwide employment drive. The events coincided with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual distribution of over 51,000 appointment letters to new recruits across the country.

In a video address at 11:00 AM, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to job creation, noting that lakhs of youth have secured permanent employment in critical sectors such as health, defence, energy, and infrastructure. He urged the recruits to dedicate themselves to public service, emphasizing that their roles contribute to nation-building.

Across the NFR zone, 625 candidates received appointment letters for various Central Government departments, including Railways, Home Affairs, Health, Posts, Financial Services, and Labour & Employment. The 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela was held simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide.

In Guwahati, the event took place at Rang Bhawan, NFR Headquarters, Maligaon, with Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and MP Bijuli Kalita Medhi presiding alongside NFR General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava.
