NFR extends Santragachi–Naharlagun special train till August 1

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): To accommodate the extra rush of passengers, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has extended the services of the Santragachi–Naharlagun Special train for another five trips in each direction.

According to an NFR press release, Train No. 08047/08048 (Santragachi–Naharlagun–Santragachi) Special will continue operating with its existing schedule, timings, stoppages and coach composition from July 3 to August 1.

The railway stated that the extension will provide enhanced connectivity and additional travel convenience for passengers travelling between West Bengal, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh during the peak travel period.

As per the schedule, Train No. 08047 (Santragachi–Naharlagun) will depart from Santragachi every Friday at 6:00 pm from July 3 to July 31 and reach Naharlagun at 8:50 pm the following day.

In the return direction, Train No. 08048 (Naharlagun–Santragachi) will depart from Naharlagun every Saturday at 11:55 pm from July 4 to August 1 and arrive at Santragachi at 4:15 am on Monday.

NFR said the extension is expected to benefit wait-listed passengers travelling on other trains operating along the route.

Passengers have been advised to verify train timings and stoppages before commencing their journey. Details are available on the IRCTC website and through NFR's official newspaper and social media notifications, the release stated.
