Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced additional changes to train services as restoration work continues near New Harangajao station in the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section following the settlement of railway tracks on Line-1 and Line-2.
According to a press release from the NFR Chief Public Relations Officer, train operations are currently being maintained through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures while restoration work is underway.
As part of the revised schedule, Train No. 15615 (Guwahati–Silchar Express), scheduled to commence its journey on August 7, and Train No. 15616 (Silchar–Guwahati Express), scheduled to depart on August 8, have been cancelled.
Several other services have been rescheduled. Train No. 15650 (Narangi–Agartala Express) on August 7 will now depart at 10:30 pm, while Train No. 15649 (Agartala–Narangi Express) on the same day has been rescheduled to leave at 11:30 pm.
Train No. 15609 (Guwahati–Sairang Express) and Train No. 15611 (Rangiya–Silchar Express), both commencing their journeys on August 7, have also been rescheduled to depart at 11:30 pm.
Meanwhile, Train No. 15610 (Sairang–Guwahati Express) on August 7 will depart at 9:30 pm, Train No. 15612 (Silchar–Rangiya Express) on August 8 will leave at 5 am, and Train No. 20507 (Sairang–Anand Vihar Terminal Express) on August 7 has been rescheduled to depart at 9:10 pm.
NFR stated that the revised schedule is necessary to facilitate restoration work while ensuring the safe movement of trains through the affected section. Passengers have been advised to check the latest train schedules before commencing their journeys.
