Maligaon, June 4 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has revised the timings of fourteen (14) trains at selected stations across its network to improve passenger convenience and ensure better punctuality. The revised schedules will be implemented in phases effective from June 7 for one train, June 6 for two trains and June 7, for the remaining eleven trains.
Effective from June 5: Train No. 13169 (Sealdah–Saharsa) Hate Bazare Express will run as per revised timings at multiple stations. The train will now arrive at Eklakhi at 04:55 hours and depart at 04:57 hours. Similar adjustments have been made at stations including Samsi, Bhaluka Road, Harischandrapur, Kumedpur, Labha and Katihar stations with timings advanced by approximately 8 to 15 minutes compared to the existing schedule.
Effective from June 6: Train No. 13159 (Kolkata–Jogbani) Express and Train No. 15961(Howrah–Dibrugarh) Kamrup Express will run as per revised timings. For Train No. 13159, the arrival and departure at Samsi will now be at 05:23 hours and 05:25 hours respectively, while at Harischandrapur, the updated timings will be 05:50 hours and 05:52 hours advancing the previous schedule by 10 minutes at both stations.
Effective from June 7: The remaining eleven trains will run as per new timings from this date. Train No. 15721 (Digha-New Jalpaiguri) Paharia Express will now arrive at Barsoi at 05:15 hours and depart at 05:17 hours. At Kishanganj, the revised arrival and departure timings will be 06:10 hours and 06:12 hours, respectively. Train No. 12343 (Sealdah-Haldibari) Darjeeling Mail will arrive and depart from Kishanganjat 06:15 hours and 06:17 hours and at New Jalpaiguri Jn. between 07:50 hours and 08:05 hours.Train No. 13163(Sealdah-Saharsa) Hate Bazare Express will also see revised timings at stations like Eklakhi, Samsi, Bhaluka Road, Harischandrapur, Kumedpur, Labha and Katihar stations.
Timings of the following trains on their respective stations will be revised. Train No. 13147 (Sealdah–Bamanhat) Uttarbanga Express, train No. 13149 (Sealdah–Alipurduar) Kanchankanya Express, train No. 15724 (Siliguri Town–Jogbani) Intercity Express, train No. 15657 (Delhi-Kamakhya) Brahmaputra Mail, train Nos. 15959 (Howrah–Dibrugarh) Kamrup Express, Train No. 13145 (Kolkata–Radhikapur) Express, Train No. 12041 (Howrah–New Jalpaiguri) Shatabdi Express and Train No. 13148 (Bamanhat–Sealdah) Uttarbanga Express. Notable examples include Train No. 15724 (Siliguri Town-Jogbani) Intercity Express, which will now arrive at Salmari at 22:08 hours and depart at 22:10 hours (previously 22:30 hours and 22:32 hours) and Train No. 13145 (Kolkata-Radhikapur) Express, which will depart from Barsoi at 04:13 hours instead of 04:23 hours. Trains operating over Katihar Division from June 7 have been accelerated by 8 to 45 minutes improving punctuality and reducing overall journey time for passengers.
