
Maligaon, July 10 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will organise Rozgar Melas at three key locations in the Northeast region on July 12 as part of the Central government's nationwide employment initiative. The recruitment drives will be held simultaneously at 10:30 AM in Guwahati, Dimapur and Siliguri, stated an update issued by Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR.
In Guwahati, the event will take place at Rang Bhawan, NF Railway Headquarters in Maligaon, with Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal as the chief guest.
The Dimapur mela will be conducted at Town Hall, Super Market Lane, where Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju will grace the occasion.
The Siliguri event at VIP Officers' Rest House in New Jalpaiguri will be attended by Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta.
A total of 625 appointment letters will be distributed to selected candidates for various Central government posts during these events. The initiative is part of a larger nationwide drive being conducted at 47 locations across India, coordinated by Indian Railways in collaboration with other Central ministries.
Union Ministers and Members of Parliament will personally hand over the appointment letters to successful candidates.
