Maligaon, August 9 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will observe the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign across its jurisdiction from August 9 to 17 as part of the Government of India’s initiative to encourage citizens to hoist the National Flag at their homes and foster a sense of patriotism and national unity.
According to a press release issued by NFR, railway officials and employees will be encouraged to participate in the campaign and inspire their families and members of the public to hoist the National Flag at their homes during the campaign period.
Flag-hoisting ceremonies will be organised at railway offices and establishments, while prominent railway stations and other important railway premises will be illuminated in the colours of the Tiranga, it stated.
As part of the campaign, NFR will also conduct awareness and outreach activities at railway stations, offices and other establishments. Instrumental renditions of the National Song “Vande Mataram” will be played through public address systems at major railway stations, while patriotic programmes will be organised to promote unity and nationalism.
Officers, employees and members of the public will also be encouraged to upload their “Selfie with Tiranga” as a symbol of their participation in the nationwide campaign.
he ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was launched by the Government of India in 2022 under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative to encourage citizens to participate in celebrating patriotism and national unity by displaying the National Flag at their homes.
NFR said the campaign aims to strengthen patriotism, national pride and unity among citizens while encouraging everyone to celebrate the Tiranga with “respect, dignity and pride.”
