The 20th general session of the Nagaland Fisheries Technical Association (NFTA) was held here today at DUDA Guest House Conference Hall, Kohima.
Speaking on the occasion Kevisa Kense, director of fisheries called upon all the District Fisheries Officers (DFOs) to be sincere in their duties.
He declared that more performing districts will get better funds while the less performing one will get lesser funds.
Kense also called upon the DFOs to utilize the available funds judiciously for the benefit of the populace.
He insisted that spot verification is done on implementation of any project. He also stressed on the need to support the concerned parties in a big way basing on viability of the projects.
Further, the director called upon the members of NFTA to uphold the integrity of the department and also carry forward the good legacy of the department. He also released the constitution of NFTA (Ist Amendment 2014).
Chairing the session, NFTA president Yhunsenlo Kent said the office of the NFTA have been shifted to Kohima from Dimapur.
He also said the matter on service deputation have been settled amicably.
Later, NFTA general secretary C. Dory Yanthan read out the report while audit report was given by audit committee convenor Lotimenba.
NFTA finance secretary Dilvi Angami invoked God’s blessings while vote of thanks was proposed by NFTA vice president Imtisunep.
Later, nomination committee convenor Ketusielie Angami announced the nomination report of NFTA new office bearers.
