Kohima, July 24 (MExN): The NH-2 at Viswema which was cut off recently due to a major landslide was opened on July 24 at 11:00 am after 9 days. About 60 Manipur trucks stationed on road side near the landslide were allowed to ply through after 3:00 pm. However, minor mudslides have continued, therefore the village informed that if the rain continues, the newly constructed road will be blocked. With the joint efforts of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Civil SDO Jakhama Block, BRTF and especially Viswema Youth Organization, the road has finally been open for light vehicles to ply through apart from restricted timings for heavy vehicles.
