Kohima, November 20 (MExN): The employees of National Health Mission (NHM), Nagaland have called-off the total cessation of work from November 21, following an assurance given by the Mission Director, NHM that the pending salaries will be paid within 10 days (including vertical programs). The employees in a press release have requested that the Executive Committee Meeting, SHS, NHM for the approval of increment, arrears and incentives be held at the earliest and the payment be made. Meanwhile, they requested the government to release the remaining fund for all the vertical programmes on or before November 30 “else the employees will re-initiate total cessation of work without prior notice.” The employees affirmed that as and when the Government of India (GoI) releases NHM fund, the State should further transfer it within 15 days as per the mandate of GoI.
